I can't find any odds at the moment but like @WhataRock said it's a tough opponent for a pro debut but good on Pedro for having a proper go and testing himself not wasting time against cannon fodder. Kris is a decent boxer I think he lacks a bit of mongrel when the going gets tough which was shown in his 2 fights with Django. Kris did well to beat Gallen who was pretty much on his last legs at that point and Gallen almost got him out of there with a late rally from memory so I give Pedro a good chance here maybe 60/40 in Kris's favor. Curtis Scott is on the undercard I could see them making Pedro v Scott next if all goes well.
Not surprised to hear this. With boxing yet to be confirmed for the Los Angeles Olympics & 50 Calibre shafted in the first round at Paris, it makes sense for him to kick off a professional career. Four years is a long time to wait only to be fighting in front of three judges with an open mind (if you're lucky) & two who have filled out their scorecards before the fight takes place. No Limit have plenty of Middleweights signed up so he won't be short on quality opponents plus he'll have the Tszyu boys to work with. It should also open up Adelaide as a viable venue for professional boxing.
It seems that No Limit has taken a softer approach to Peters and he won't face the same scrutiny as Garside & Nikita to be the Main Event & PPV straightaway . This content is protected
Pretty sure everyone's a Callum Peters fan. Day 1. Star quality, Exciting, born for the Pros. Interesting to see both Peters and Billy Polkinghorne at no limit now.
Yeah I was there she got belted it wasn't pretty. It wasn't that long ago I am surprised that she is ready to go again. She is tough but at this stage Jazzy should beat her on points I reckon.
Anyone giving Waterman a chance at pulling off an upset? I am not counting it out, Aokuso hasn't looked as good since he left No Limit.
For sure he's got a chance. Without looking it up, I think he has wins over Aokuso from the amateurs (Aokuso has wins against him for the Olympics & World Championships spots). I think Aokuso is the better talent but Weapon of Choice has had the overseas stint as well. Maybe those Doodles have taught him something. Or not. I guess we'll find out tomorrow night. Hoping for some lopsided odds on that one.
Apparently he wanted to fight for the Australian title on debut but the champ didn't want the smoke. Mentioned he will be fighting at Super Middle & is also contesting the national amateur championships in Canberra this week. Kicks off tomorrow. https://www.foxsports.com.au/boxing...g/news-story/f849c91f77fcc4d3cc456aa8c806b3b1 The Tele is reporting that Callum Peters will be headlining the December No Limit show. Opponent TBA.
Im surprised it's been scheduled. Jazzy poured water on it after watching Shannon get demolished last time. Showed respect and said there was an experience gap.
