Need to catch the Wylie vs Flemming replay. Some controversial scoring apparently

100-90 1 judge had it to Jake. Consensus is Jake won, but to give him every single round is mind boggling

Interesting. I've asked top pro judges how scoring can be so unequal. Get drawn a blank.

The best a judge has been able to offer me is, 'we are all located at different sides of the ring and therefore have a different view to each other.'

I think that does hold some water in a close fight, where all of the judges score it close but differently. But not when one guy clearly does enough to win and the judges vary from a shutout to a draw.

Wylie clearly won in my opinion probably 7 rounds to 3

It was very bizarre scoring but I actually thought the card for Flemming was worse than the shutout for Wyllie. The fight was not close Flemming pinched a few rounds but Wyllie was dictating.

People need to name and shame these incompetent judges.

Chris Condon had it 100-90 for Whyllie.

    Sabrina Kerr had it even.

Paul Tapley had it 97-93 for Fleming.

Mindboggling how two supposedly competent judges - Tapley and Condon - could disagree so completely on the same fight.

Will be interesting to see how this International Brawling Championships goes
The Nissan Arena venue only seemed about a third full, and many more had left before the main event.

After last night's bout, Jai ended up with a fractured cheekbone and ole mate with a fractured neck.

Listening to a few interviews it seems that Eddie Hearn/Matchroom are no longer involved with Jai Opetaia. And no longer on DAZN.
I think this Mick Francis (Manager) maybe the undoing of Jai.
    Interesting times

Heard that too. Mick Francis interview. Did say they were good to deal with though.

Being mismanaged would explain a lot to be honest. He's had nothing go his way eventually you need to look at the managers. A fighter like that and no one wants to fight him, talk about him, big promoter dropping off.

How does one of the most exciting fighters on the planet go from being on DAZN worldwide to being only shown on an MMA platform (UFC Fight Pass) to those outside of Australia?

Presumably the Channel Nein / Stan deal is worth more to Tasman Fighters than what DAZN were offering. Hopefully they managed to sell some PPVs & that continues. I thought it was a decent show & has the potential to become better with some tweaks. Justis Huni on the show would obviously improve it. People want to see the Big Dragons - all three of them. If you've got three Big Dragons, for goodness' sake use them. Teremoana needs to be matched more competitively from here on if he's going to be appearing on the Tasman shows. They should have put him in with Kiki Toa Leutele over six when Justis Huni elected not to fight. And the Big Dragons need to be given top billing - the other blokes are the support act. Don't roll out kids who have never even been on the national amateur team & pretend that they're world beaters. They're not. Put the blokes who potentially can be, like the three Big Dragons, at the top of the bill & promote the hell out of them. Also Stan needs a new blow by blow commentator. The guy they're using is a turn off. Nothing wrong with the expert commentators they had or the hosts on the panel but the blow-by-blow guy needs to be given a Jai Opetaia overhand left. Yes, it is possible to turn off the volume & watch without the sound which is what I did but if you're offering a decent product (which the rest of it was), that shouldn't be necessary.
