Absolutely, he feels jilted. I loved Fenech as a fighter but Team Fenech said it all. He was above the fighters, it was more about him than his fighters.
I don't like that opponent for a comeback fight for Tim. He is undefeated, rangy and can punch. Looks dangerous.
Tszyu's camp have been accused of sabotaging opponent Anthony Velazquez's preparations. Velazquez was due to arrive in Australia last Wednesday. However, it is understood he was blocked from leaving Los Angeles because the name on his flight booking didn't match the name on his passport. Velazquez finally arrived last Friday. Surely a misunderstanding? Perhaps his birth name is Rumplestiltskin or something? Nobody in boxing ever tries to disrupt their opponent with shenanigans. Ever.

Look, up in the sky. It's a bird...it's a plane...it's...it's...The Phoenix rising from the ashes! Good win by Timmy last night. Reports to the contrary (including on boxing websites) are from dribblers who are wasting their time reporting on the sport of professional boxing b/c they obviously lack the insight & comprehension skills necessary to do so competently. The BS website (appropriately named) is a case in point. Tim in full control from the outset & had his opponent badly busted up by the end of the sixth. Tough sport this when you have to take what his opponent took & then carry on for another four rounds but Velazquez's principal achievement from the fight was getting to the finish line. That took physical toughness & balls on his part. Some good performances on the undercard. Tyler Blizzard performed well against Sam Goodman & gave a good account of himself. Callum Peters beat fellow 2024 Olympian Teremoana to a national title by stopping Cody Beekin in six. It could be argued the stoppage was premature but spitting the mouthpiece out sends a message to the ref that he'd had enough. The previous national Middleweight champ Dom Molinaro unsuccessfully challenged Koen Mazoudier for the national Jr Middleweight title but showed that he belongs on the national stage with a good performance. Maybe bring him back to challenge Callum Peters next up. Paulo Aokuso boxed impressively at Light Heavy.
I was laughing at Zerafa saying Tim should have done better with an opponent like that because I reckon Zerafa would struggle and possibly lose to Velazquez.
Some of the post fight commentary from supposedly neutral journos suggesting it was a disappointing performance is ridiculous. The other guy was badly damaged after six rounds & we could have had a fatality on our hands if Timmy had pressed hard for a stoppage from there. Glad he didn't.
10 rounds in the bank for the-new-Tzsyu and he won close enough to every one of them. Nothing not to like.
Yep charging in head first going for the kill is what he has been criticized for in the past. This time he was more cautious and defensively responsible wins every round but according to some it was a bad performance.
Yep, saw that & liked the post. Good summary. Timmy dialed it back after six after seeing how badly damaged his opponent was. I'm surprised they let it continue. Allowing guys who have already taken a beating to continue doing so is something I dislike about the sport. I thought the cut was an opportune time to bring things to an end. I was concerned about the consequences when they let it continue.
