Throwback fighter Hussein Hussein remember him MP? We had a lot of talent in the 2000's. He had two cracking fights with Jorge Arce. Darchiniyan knocked off Arce.

Good times. Katsidis was another fire cracker.

Also Glen Kunga Kelly and his brother. Not sure which one it was that was potentially robbed against David Reid. Google says Reid dominated. Oh well I watched the fight 27 years ago. RJJ KO'd Kelly big time with that behind the back move.

Robbie Peden who famously knocked out Nate Cambell after Cambell dropped his hands. Won the rematch too. PEDEN also once fought off an intruder in his home who was armed with a baseball bat.

Boxing for Aussies was cool in that era.

 

Yeah he was a good fighter the first fight with Arce was brutal. I also liked Skinny Hussein I remember watching him as a young lad against Jackson Asiku at the Star Sydney that was a great fight.

 

Yep I mentioned him in another post but I edited it hence it didn't come up. They were good fighters.

 

I remember as a kid I thought Skinny v Asiku was a massive fight I didn’t know any better but because it was the main event on Foxtel at the casino my Dad and Uncle’s were all watching I thought it was big time lol

You had a pro aussie boxer around 10-15 years ago who fought under the name of jungle boy , not very good and got into some trouble following a girl up a dark street one night , he just vanished after that .

 

Can't say I know of that guy Josey.

 

Nah it was a long time ago, he was a bit of a weirdo and had a strangely brief pro career , maybe one of your fellow aussie lads will remember him , prowler probably will..
