What team Opetaia told the IBF must have been a bluff they couldn't really have thought the IBF would take seriously...BUT they did...the IBF initially fell for it.

How uninformed and out of touch are the IBF? Everybody else with even half an interest in boxing would have seen through that...but not them - LOL!

Tim Tszyu returning to the ring in April in Australia. Fight announcement tomorrow.

 

Tim is fighting Albanian Denis Nurja 20-0 on Easter Monday, in Wollongong.

 

Not sure about previous purses, but there was an article today saying his IBF sanctioning fee of 3% was $45,000, so a $1.5m purse for the Glanton fight.

Great win by Jai yesterday. Boxed magnificently. Had me thinking about how he'd go against Usyk. Pretty good, I reckon.

Looking forward to Timmy's second fight back against an undefeated opponent. A guy with a few skills & low knockout percentage seems about right. Sam Goodman, Callum Peters & Big Nasty also on the show.

Can't wait to see a few eggs cracked open on Easter Sunday.

 

Not sure how close Opetaia could push Usyk but it would be a very high skill level heavyweight fight.
