Allen will win this IMO. Think he has the grit to wear Browne out and although he looks like a plodder Allen has got some good defence and comes up with a surprise spring in his step just when you think he is done for.
I very rarely bet method of result & wouldn't do so here. It's hard enough picking winners on a consistent basis without adding a greater degree of difficulty to the task by trying to pick method of result. I don't know much about Dave Allen but all the Pommies are saying he has a good chin. Big Daddy usually wins by kayo. A good chin stops good hitting so if Allen's chin is as good as they say, Big Daddy won't kayo him.
The two to keep an eye on for Tokyo are the h/w Justis Huni & the gold medalist from the Cth games, Harry Garside. They would seem to be our best hopes for a medal in Tokyo.
* Reagan Dessalix is hoping to force a rematch with Blake Caparello when he fights Mitchell Whitelaw over 10 rds at Tweed Heads for vacant Aus LHW Title. Is this for real get out of here , this is for professional boxer's . Not amateurs or ABA , or League or Global . Thats for kid's . Hahaha true God (
Watch Thomas versus Allen highlights I think it shows some of what some are saying, one moment he is Homer Simpson then the next skills. The footage is a bit favourable to Allen as I understand it so take it with a grain of salt. Allen has a bit of spring, he is not great but compared to Browne who has never had any speed he looks like Usain Bolt. I see Allen pressing Browne and getting a clubbing TKO just when Browne thinks they should be having a breather.
Never say never given the HW division, both get attention in the social media world, fan friendly and have little negotiating leverage - Browne especially at this point. Both are good for a promoters plan B or C so will still get gigs. Browne IMO needs to take every UK fight he is offerred at this time.
Lucas is loved here mate and what's not to like ? I've been enjoying his joint interviews with Allen this week , pure off the cuff stuff , boxing entertainment with an added touch of mutual respect from two blokes who know their chances of top table riches are virtually zero .
Agreed. I recently started watching Allen, he is fun and unpredictable. Followed Browne a bit since MMA but a bit sour on him after two PEDS. Browne has a decent social media fan base and I understand Allen has pretty big domestic support.
Yes I was a very vocal fan of Lucas mate in the beginning but like you said the PED sagas did leave me with a bit of a black eye , to tell the truth the heavyweight boxing scene has gone the way of the WWE in it's ridiculousness what with all the gear in it, these days I tend to treat it as just another form of entertainment and see it for the circus the PEDS have made it , when you realise they are ALL juiced up and except it for what it is it becomes increasingly more entertaining like this up coming stouch to watch ...it wouldn't surprise me if Joshua was next to get busted mate.
