Hope everyone had a great Easter long weekend.

Great card yesterday lad..Got the juices flowing. Sat back with my Lindt easter bunny and enjoyed the show.

Kazzi-Geraghty and Reeves-Waitai were two fantastic prelims that wet the whistle.

Aukuso fight was a short and sweet. Obviously he should be fighting stronger opps than this.

I missed the Peters fight but the highlights showed the story. A lot of promise and talent in this kid but him and his team really have to start changing his mindset and tactical approach. This isnt the am's no more, you need to develop the nuances and skillset that seperates the unpaid and paid lads.

Big Nas-Wallace would have emptied the pokie rooms and TAB's for the 7 minutes of mayhem it produced.
Solomono is a novice and he fights like one. You learn a lot more from these kind of fights than you do from 1 round demolitions.
Even the great Paul Gallen was down in his first fight.

Sammy Goodman-The Argentine might have been the highest quality bout in boxing terms.
Ruiz was a rough and tumble guy, he certainly gave Sammy some hard rounds early.
Some great footwork from Goodman here, no doubt learnt from his days in the halves from the Albion Park-Oak Flat Eagles.

    And for the maaaain event.

The rise of the Phoenix continues. I know a lot of people will be critical of Timmy's inability to change gears.
But you could look at it that he had an opponant under wraps the whole night and had to be mindful of that a big pay day was around the corner.

One thing that was noticeable about Tim yesterday (& that @NoChin has mentioned a couple of times) is that he looked a lot thinner around the shoulders than he has previously. Not as much muscle development. Whether it's down to diet or training methods (or both) I'm not sure. Physical strength is needed in this sport & it looks like he may be down in that department a bit. Might make things a bit easier making weight so perhaps there are benefits in other areas? Was mildly concerning for me as he's always been strong physically.

I reckon he's been over training Sandman. During Tim's Interviews he looks softer and yeah less muscle. I don't like what I'm seeing. I thought he may have just been dehydrated a little and that he'd fill out when he made weight but he didn't. He didn't look as toned as before also.

You're the only one who mentioned that in the lead up. Good insight. He did look noticeably thinner in the upper body at the weigh-in & during the fight. He's going to need plenty of physical strength against Spence so hopefully he & his team are on top of whatever adjustments need to be made in that area (if any).

Considering it was catchweight as well, would of thought he would of had kept the thickness.
I noticed his back, usually he looks very wide and strong across his back to help generate power, he didn't have the same muscle in that area either.

Agree completely. Across his back was even more noticeable than the shoulders. Maybe they need to look at sending some Australian beef to his Florida training base? The second-rate American stuff isn't doing the job. Too much American chicken, not enough Australian beef.

Yep his back in the past was always thick and muscular. Not anymore.

Agree with @Sandman_ and @NoChin regarding Tim’s rig he is not as muscular as he was and I wonder if that is a choice Pedro Diaz made? Tim’s old team were definitely more in the weight room just look at Nikita he was jacked AF for the Zerafa fight.

I don't like it MP. He shouldn't be losing muscle. If he lost a little size that's something due to lack of heavy lifting maybe. But actual muscle? No. More muscle more testosterone. More strength More power. Tim said himself he walks around 80kg. Well he did with Igor anyway. I'm not a fan of Diaz what does he actually do on the pads anyway get him to move his head More and use his footwork to Evade. That's basic boxing knowledge. He should have stayed with Igor just worked on his D More which is what one should do anyway. Tim said it himself that he never had a game plan which is dumb. Well that's dumb on Igor in that respect too if he didn't implement game plans so maybe there's one reason why he left him but again this is amateur knowledge. If I was his mate Killa I'd be saying what's going on Tim you've lost size, tone and muscle is this guy even right for you. Look at Tim on the pads pre fight there's a 3min 45 clip of him on YouTube might be McAllister not sure who filmed it but his power was far less then what its been and his jab was weak. Another thing too months ago I watched his vlog and he was training or sparring late night then getting up at 6 the next morning to train again. He only had like 5 hours sleep. Not enough for anyone imo especially for an athlete especially for an athlete trying to get back to the top again. Recovery is essential he shouldn't be finishing training so late at night then going again the next morning. He wouldn't have even recovered from the night before. That seems the norm with Pedro Diaz. I'd rather live that pro life from before when he'd wake up whenever he did granted he'd be in bed 7 or 7.30 he said when it camp. So there's another one. Rather than be in bed by 7.30 he's training at 10.30 11 at night. Diaz is over working him. Tim should be sleeping and waking on his terms and training when the mind and body is refreshed. He can't do that because Diaz has him working with other fighters at the same time for many exercises. Even running. There's pros and cons to this as he could get pushed more in some areas. Sometimes it can be good sometimes not.

Good post I pretty much agree with everything the Goodman fight was the best and I think Sam has entered his prime he will be a problem for a lot of guys. Yeah Big Nelson fights like a total novice he has some natural power but will lose if he fights anyone halfway decent. The difference with Gallen is he actually fought a legit pro in his debut and did well to recover from the knock down lol. I reckon even old Gal is still capable of beating Big Nelson and wouldn’t be surprised if it happens at the end of the year as Gal loves a pay day.

Danilo Creati finished off by Nikita two years ago? Hasn't fought since. Where's Has Hamdan BTW?

Hass is serving a ban in Oz for doing something dumb when he was in the corner of someone.
    Cant remember exactly.

I remember his 2023 fight in the Tszyu vs Mendoza show was in jeopardy due to being in trouble with the law. The guy should pull his head in.

Sad news I hope he can pull through he was an entertaining fighter in his day and a real character. He had a close brush with death before with a drug OD I remember he got given the wrong bag or something like that.
