Can't wait to see us overtake the Cruiserweight and Heavyweight thread. We gave them a four-year head start but will reel them in like a three-meter flathead.
Just over a month now to the Jackson England vs Zaurbeck fight and still no broadcast deal . Pathway Promotions has previously partnered with Live Combat Sports for regional PPV but a final global or domestic partner such as Fox or DAZN is still listed as TBA. Lets hope this changes.
Being in Perth on a Saturday night I think it's a **** time. Such a big fight though someone should broadcast it.
Not to sure about the details of Dib’s contract with Fiddy but I mean as soon as he signed with him more or less he picks up a loss. And that’s even with dodgy scoring giving Billy a handicap because that fight was not as close as the final scores show. And Grads was the 3rd choice opponent who took the fight on relatively late notice because two others pulled out because the purse was so rubbish. 50 won the bid with the minimum because no one else put in for it. Gets him the rematch and he losses again, this time by stoppage. I mean all due respect to Billy but he wasn’t the most marketable of fighters, wasn’t well known in the states like Danny Santiago and then picks up two losses in a short amount time losing his only one real bargaining chip in his world title belt. How was 50 going to be able to get him million dollar purses then?
Yeah Grinning Greeny used to have his Perth fights start late afternoon so he could get the East Coast audience.
BTW, it's " Sir " Jackson England. He's soon to be knighted. They're going to build his statue in Mandurah.
maybe with Stan Sport?? I believe that Noel's last show in Gatton was shown on Stan Sport. No idea about the show coming up in Perth.
Next up for Benjamin Hussain is Jack Brubaker for the IBO Asia-Pacific Super Welterweight Title . Also, Austin Aokuso and Paulo Aokuso on the same card. Wondering if Paulo is still with No Limit and Austin with Tasman Fighters?? This content is protected
Brubaker coming out retirement. No boxer can just walk away. He should retire taken too many hits to the head.
Yeah, Brubaker retired at the right time, like few and has come back at the wrong time, like many. Sad.
It's a concern. I dont think Jack really needs to the money, he has pretty sucessful water filtration company he either runs or has a stake in. Not that these local card purses would put much food on the table anyway. I heard some slurring creeping into his speech when he recently spoke and went back to a interview like in 2018 where he spoke much clearer. With Jack you know what you get so I can see why promoters like offering him fights, even now.
He got lucky with a late knockdown in that fight in Adelaide at the gathering. He was getting pummelled. He's suffered cte for sure. I think Hussein stops him but at the very least further inflicts damage on him.
