If Big Nasty comes out unscathed from Burgess I wouldn’t be surprised if they add him late notice on the Tszyu card. Just to add a little bit of attraction to the backslapper market.

He would probably slot into the prelims or the Aussie portion of the PPV. You wouldn’t want our friends in the states subjected to that.

If big George sees the second round I will be surprised. He's trying to talk up some nonexistent RL rivalry, but truth is George picked up an oxy habit after a hip operation and it ended his NRL career years ago, the big git is broke I'd say. If it was Sam or even Luke Burgess I'd say Nelson was up against it, but the younger twins weren't as hard as the big bros.

Pop what has happened to US boxing?

You guys were it, where all the massive events came from, and now it is the UK with a lot of oil money supporting them. Saddens me actually, I can only suspect MMA and scripted wrestling without a good idea.

Zuffa seems to be laying a platform for young athletes to advance, which could well correct some decline if the principal actors can rein in egos a bit. With no clear pathway in one sporting code, talented fighters will find it in another.

Many things happened to U.S. boxing, but if I had to pick one major cause of its decline, it would be the death of cable television. In the past, you could watch highly ranked fighters face each other on free TV, and even title fights in the lower weight classes. If you wanted the biggest championship fights, you bought the occasional HBO PPV. Now, the main options are services like DAZN and PBC, which can be expensive and aren't as accessible to the average consumer.

As someone who knows a professional boxer, I've also seen that one of the hardest parts of being a boxer is simply getting fights. Bouts constantly fall through. That's where a system like Zuffa's has appeal. It offers stability by removing the fighter's ability to pick opponents, and in exchange provides a clearer path to regular fights. Many boxers are willing to trade some freedom for that stability.

Does anyone remember Dynamite Dom Le Banner? He fought Rob Medley and Daniel Geale. Fought K-1 first before boxing and Muay Thai. Had a bare knuckle fight too. I came across him on YouTube lol. Arthur Abraham look alike.

Former boxer Hussein 'Skinny' Dehaini was shot dead in Melbourne on Sunday morning in a suspected targeted attack.

It is believed Dehaini had links to the Haddara crime family and was allegedly involved in extortion and illicit tobacco. So won't be greatly missed by many.

Dehaini went 10-0-1 in the pro ranks as a middleweight / super middleweight and is NOT the same 'Skinny' Hussien who fought Manny Pacquiao.

Liam Paro hope he wins another world title. I saw him drop Steve Chago knew he'd be onto something special.

Looking forward to tonight’s fight. Bought a ticket yesterday. I’m not convinced Paro is a genuine 147 pounder looking at him on the scales . Crocker will certainly have a pretty distinct size advantage.

That being said I agree with Alfie Di Carlo who mentioned Croc has basically beaten domestic level opponents up until this point. Interesting fight.
