Mundine vs Green 2. I've only ever saw the fight once. First thought was Mundine should have been disqualified for that cheap shot. Mundine won the fight though. Looking back on it the ref never said stop or break he said let him go. The ref ****ed up. Still a cheap shot but Mundine wasn't told don't hit. I think he knew not to hit him though. Green should have been given a 5 minute break at the least. What do you think @MidniteProwler? Bad refereeing or not, Mundine won the fight?
I thought Mundine won and he clearly showed he was always the better fighter between the pair. I would have to go back and watch I remember the ref didn't call anything so it was a veteran move by Choc and Green should know to protect yourself at all times. Also from memory I thought that Green was performing a bit and wasn't quite as hurt from that punch as he made out I think he was trying to milk a point deduction. Either way it was a meaningless fight between to blokes over 40 Mundine won in 2006 when it mattered.
Yep. I think Green would have beat him fair and square on the night without that shot but we'll never know. The ref didn't say don't hit or break so the ref is at fault. But as you said the one that counts was in 2006 which Mundine won. A fight between two over the hill dinosaurs is irrelevant.
I don't really think the cheap shot affected Green at all I think he was performing a bit to try and force a point deduction so I have to disagree mate. I think that Mundine with fair judging would've won regardless.
Zerafa vs Harrison if both win Wednesday night. I didn't even know they were fighting. Both these guys were finished years ago. Harrison is punch drunk. Battle of the bums. I think Harrison is the trainer of Teromoana actually but still could fight Zerafa. Whatever. It's a joke all around.
Anybody taking Ortiz at the $8 odds... Im tempted just for the sake of it but looks had a look at few fight highlights but looks touch slow and slappy, definition of an import.. On another note, anyone know the reason the sudden interest in Australia hosting overseas promoters shows? Matchroom etc.... I know dazn now got fox however surely more $ in gates and betting markets in USA and UK as much as sportsbetting getting bigger here, surely the PPV $ not "huge" out here? ... I was suprised Tszyu/Spence ended up in Aust to be honest. I imagined with Spence, Charlo etc on the card 50 000 in Texas would have made PBC lot more $ even if Aust govts threw in major event $... Not complaining at all, think its great for Aussie boxing, just curious business wise?? Seems a long way to travel and very expensive when they got it all in their own backyard...
