Kostya is accepting his award from last year, as he was unable to make the dinner in 2010.
    This year's inductees are:
    Moderns: Steve Aczel
    Veterans: Jeff White
    Old Timers: Fred Kay
    Pioneers: Dan Creedon
    Non Participants: Jim Sharman
Honorary Internationals: Clarence Reeves "The Alabama Kid"

All previous inductees can be found on the website www.anbhof.com

Do you have the list of names that were short listed for this year

    j u s t i n Rowsell must be close to getting in.

His not winning a world title was much more political then it was due to his skill

he was such a great fighter to watch he had all the skills you could want

being one of the nicest guys in the business was a benefit as well

Why did they move from the MCG to Tasmania?

Very short sighted option in my opinion, you'd think there'd be a little more foot traffic every day at the 'G then in Tassie.

I have to agree with this.
It cost us about $600 each all up last year, this year, about $800 if we go, which the chances are pretty slim.

We heard back then that it was going to be at the Launceston Casino, which was a bit daunting  I think the budget would get a right old hiding given my luck on the punt.
Probably was the straw really. I'd rather have a drink & a laugh than flick cards.

Can someone confirm that the Country club is the induction venue & not the Casino?

Full credit to the ANBHOF for making this a bigger and more relevant event each year. Not sure about the selection of Tassie for the venue. But I suppose if they rotate the venue around the travel cost burden will even out for the regular attendees. Well done to all of this years inductees too :good

There are plenty of venues for that kind of night in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane i.e reception centres that are classy and put on a good meal and probably come without the price tag of the MCG. The Melbourne Pavillion comes to mind immediately. I hope it's well supported.
