This must be the semi final round because both of these match ups have already happened in the round robin series.
Are the semi finals still over 6 rounds?
The promoter, Adam Wilcock, would be wanting the earlier winners, Rivan Cessaire & Tim Hunt, to get through to the final. It would be easier to match the two Melbourne boys at home for the IBO regional title belt that goes to the winner.

It does look like they've reached the semis but it's a little hard to tell as the website is talking about 3 bouts coming up and BoxRec only 2.

    The semis are 8 x 3s and the final 12 x 3's.

    BoxRec doesn't quite agree aus.

It lists the following for this Saturday Aug 13th:

1/ Tim Hunt vs Alex Ahtong (Hunt defending his Victorian title).

    2/ Rivan Cessaire vs TBA.

Can only assume Todd Kidd is injured. He's not listed for Saturday, or as having a future opponent at this stage.

The guy that finished 5th is on family holiday so can't replace Kidd. They're unsure on who Cessaire will face

Why was Cessaire scheduled to fight Kidd again?? Besides he's already scheduled to fight in the final on Sep 24, which is for vacant IBO Asia Pacific title.

IMO, so called welterweight series has become quite a yawn, with dropouts, overweight replacements etc.
It should've been done similar to this:- http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=620606
Increase semis to 5 rounds & leave at that. Then let the finalists do battle over 10 rounds for IBO Asia Pacific on the next show, providing neither are suffering an injury.

BTW, there's a reason why boxers A are losers until Final. It had to be done that way to override Boxrec system.
I reckon I should get a gold watch for figuring it out
It's only a matter of time, I'll be ad******g my bank balance on daily basis :nut:nut:lol::lol:

    Nice work aus-boxing.

Interesting that a cut will keep Kidd out. Whereas when Hunt was cut in training a while back in this same series, they allowed him time to heal and continue.
