Whilst probably talented, I wouldnt think that kid would even
be close to the top 20.

Exciting to watch maybe, but lacks a defence - and is nearly
always open for counters, if he is the best we got, then we are
    in a lot of trouble.

    My choice would be Junior.

You will hear of him in the future.

The kid had over 150 wins as an amatuer.

    Definate talent.

Just looking through some youtube clips of Heath Ellis aswell,
    damn that kid is quick..

Andy Green could be one to watch, He has a very fan friendly style.

Kickett is still young and despite his last fight will be certainly one to watch in 2010 maybe he should have stayed in the states and joined a gym there , no diss to Australian boxing but it seems to me a youngster down under reaches a certain level but falls short of taking it a notch up @ world class level ala Jamie Pittman , solid fighters who need a fresh approch after some solid basic coaching down under , i know there are exceptions but it does seem to be the case from an outsiders point of view ,,,,Fire at will :good

    Ya Fired. :hi:

You're right Josey, but a catch-22 situation is partly in place.

With the depths of Oz boxing (or a lack of depth) the Oz fighters are quick to establish impressive records on paper. 20-0.... 25-0 etc. in beating Indo's and Philo's on the way up, whilst a top prospect such as Robbie Peden toiled very bloody hard in the USA from the start of his Pro. career, and apparently recieved hard times in getting paid well.

America is so competitive amongst managers and promoters taking the cash.

Australia being so isolated has serious limitations for local men to face better quality opponents, other than the usual Thai's etc.

Yep it must be a geographical nightmare for an up and coming Aussie our lads are lucky in that respect , fighting these Eastern Europeans is defo a sink or swim senerio . our lads have been gaining vital experience fighting them over the last 10-15 yearsand its reaped rewards on the World stage .

What been happening with Mundraby?? Heard huge wraps about him mid last year, including a potential Word title shot against the WBA champ.
