Good call. Pavlik. Wish he would get a good old school black trainer. He has a lot of potential to be slicker. He has shown some tiny hints of his ability but don't think Lowe can get him to where he needs to be. He doesn't have to be the one dimensional fighter he has shown. underneath the blah he is very talented.

I think Abraham will take a "Confidence" fight at home in Germany....then this fight with Pavlik has to be made. Pavlik will look good early....But I think Abraham will catch him late with a WILD-ASS-LEFT-HOOK that will end the fight.

AA by late TKO...Once KP feels the power of Arthur, it will be the beginning of the end for him...

Abraham will eventually land on Pavllik harder than Pavlik will land on him, and then go for the kill.

Damn....I saw that someone made a thread about this fight, MY BAD. I didn't mean to step on someone else's thread. Hopefully the mods will combine the two and use his title since he started it first.

There is no reason to make this fight. Abraham has a record of 1-3 at 168, unless you count that bizarre tune-up fight.

Pavlik has ventured north of 160 off and on for pretty much his whole career. His record at, near, or above supermiddleweight is something like 14-1 with 11 KO wins.

Arthur is talking about moving back down to 160.

Pavlik just beat an undefeated light heavyweight with a 76% KO ratio, and is still talking about competing at both 168 and 175.

I don't think it makes sense to compare Pavlik right now with Pavlik during his run up to the middleweight championship. The kid went through hell the last couple years. He did good in his come back fight, but he probably needs one more top 15-20 type opponent. He doesn't need a guy who has been thoroughly routed at 168.

'The Battle of the Broken'. Has PPV written all over it. Abraham is shattered at this point worse than Pavlik, rehab or no rehab. Pavlik would likely stop him.

Abraham is too easy to hit. He blocks a lot of shots, but he stays at a range that Kelly will be comfortable with and be able to land his shots with full power regularly which are hard enough to penetrate Abraham's guard.

Abraham may land some monster hooks on Pavlik, and they are hard enough to put Pavlik down, but I think Pavlik is smart enough to keep his distance and he may have a better chin at 168.

Both of these guys have been exposed. However, Pavlik has more of what it takes to follow the blueprint to beating Abraham than vice versa. I can't see Abraham taking this fight anyway. He's lost 3 of his last 4 fights. Expect him to fight a steady diet of setups for a while.

Based on last performances, I give the nod to AA! But Booardley has a good point, AA at 168lbs hasn't shown much but then again he is fighting the elit of the division. It would be an intersting fight nonetheless. I would much rather see AA/Martinez at 160lbs if AA in fact decides to move back down to 160lbs.

LOL who did pavlik beat in those 14 wins? Yea abraham went 1-3 but those 3 losses are against the best super middleweights today.
