Abraham will win Pavlik is nothing special Abraham By Brutal Knockout.
Pavlik is not Andre ward or Dirrel or Carl Froch i hope this fight will happen this is a great Chance for Abraham to win again Respect and to make for Himself a Great Comeback when he Knockout Pavlik and he would Knockout him I am very sure. But Pavlik will not Take this Fight vs Abraham he knows Abraham is to Dangerous for Him.

I fully agree, and it's the obvious fight for both guys at this point. Can't see how this one doesn't get made. Potential to be a hell of a fight, too.

I see Pavlik stopping Abraham, to be honest. At 160 I would have had Abraham, but he's sluggish at 168 and Pavlik looked ENORMOUS in his last fight. Pavlik also has the much better/more consistent boxing skills, and at 168 I'd say at least equal power.

Also, Pavlik has a better corner(!). "Double the ****ing jab." is always better than "Come on. You can do it. Throw punches."

How does this fight benefit Pavlik?

Is it a big pay day? Nope. AA's stock is at an all time low.

Does Abraham present a stylistic challenge? Nope. In every case short power punchers always make Pavlik look like Godzilla.

Would beating AA get Pavlik a higher ranking by the sanctioning bodies? Nope. The WBC already has him at #1.

Would beating AA change the perception of the haters and skeptics? Nope. No matter how dominant KP's performance, those guys would just say all he did was beat a guy who has been thoroughly exposed 3 times. Only this time, they would be right.

There is no reason for Pavlik to even look Abraham's direction. If push comes to shove, he'd be better off fighting another undefeated hopeful like Quillin or Rodriguez.

    Boo,

We agree on a lot of things.. Other than Kelly Fightin Pryor Jr. This would be Great For him! AA is a Big Name still, and Is a tough guy! Regardless of anyone who PAvlik fights, there will still Be haters on both sides of the fence. If pavlik made 270K against Lopez, He would def. make 750K for a AA fight, and it would be a quality WIN in OUR books! we only have a few

    1 Taylor. Twice
    2. miranda

U could say Rubio and McKart Were decent wins also

And the One guy That i cant spell his name starts w a Z????

He'd be better off taking care of his unfinished business from middleweight.

Abraham is the biggest-name fighter who I think Pavlik is ready to fight right now.

Potential to be a classic fight/foty.

Beating Abraham would put Pavlik in the company of Ward, Dirrell, and Froch. All guys who Pavlik probably hopes to get in the ring with eventually. Say Pavlik dominates Abraham, or even becomes the first to stop him?

If Pavlik was to stop Abraham, he could hang that over everybody's head. He would establish himself as undoubtedly the top puncher in the division.

It's a fight that makes sense, is eminently winnable, probably relatively easy to make, decent payday, chance to set yourself up for bigger and better fights down the road.

Pavlik shouldn't be fighting too many of these young guys. They may be undefeated, but they have no name recognition. Pavlik's last opponent was good, but you don't hear much about the fight because nobody knows the guy. Once he picks up a title (off Steiglitz after beating Abraham in Germany to set up the fight), THEN he should take on one or two of these young guys while the top guys in the division sort each other out. End of next year is when he should be looking at making a run at unification and the top spot

Both fighters have stepped up the level of their competition and both have been found wanting.

And contrary to Boo's assertion (stated twice in this thread), AA categorically ruled out going back to 160 in his post fight interview less than 24 hours ago.

This is a fight that Pavlik avoided at 160 and one that would let us know which guy needs to retire and which can get back into the game at some level.

I agree with you on everything. Never thought of it that way! As Kelly Said, when he was a younger fighter people would over look him but he had more hunger than the other fighters coming up! Lopez had Hunger and Nothing to lose but a perfect record and he fought well, just not strong enough!

This is off topic, but did you know that post-fight Lopez claimed he "elected" to make it a "rough, physical fight, and that favored Pavlik." Since when does a rough-physical fight favor the smaller fighter?

As far as I'm concerned there is no "unfinished business" between Pavlik and Abraham. Sauerland and AA finished that business as soon as they demanded a $2 million dollar guarantee, and admitted they never asked Team Pavlik about a fight in Germany.

Yes AA is a big name, but it is also a name that is synonymous with looking like **** while losing nearly every round.

Pavlik last good win was against jermain taylor. Since then he has lost to hopkins and martinez. He hasn't actually defeated anyone good. Defenitely not the competition abraham has been facing lately.

Pavlik need a big name opponent and abraham could used this fight to get his confidence back. Pavlik - Abraham makes sense.

Other than a martinez rematch or maybe a fight with PW. Abraham is the best big fight for pavlik.

Martinez has already said "no" to Pavlik at 164, 166, and of course 168. Williams belongs at 147 or 154. Pavlik would seriously hurt him at 168.

Abraham is not a big fight. If AA really does drop back down to 160, he needs to fight at least two fights with top 20 type fighters.

Pavlik has no reason to fight AA, and AA would be smart to stay the hell away from anymore tall and heavy handed guys for quite sometime.

Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

Both fighters best wins were Taylor and Miranda. Both have been beaten pretty badly in recent outings. I See no reason why this fight should not be made. And for the record Booradley. After the Ward fight....AA was asked specifically about moving back down to 160lbs, HE DENIED IT COMPLETELY!!!!

I read a headline that said "Abraham vows to move back down to 160!" With all these brilliant internet "journalists" and "editors" we have on line it was probably a freaking typo.

If you had chosen a thread title that asked people if they still want to see this fight, I would not be adamantly arguing against it. However, your title says it "NEEDS TO BE MADE" No, it does not need to be made, and actually makes very little sense. However, if people still want to see it 3 years after the expiration date, that is another matter all together.

The fight is pointless at this point of time, Boo...

Pavlik should take one more fight against a challenging opponent and then go for the top dogs. AA should retire or change coach/team in order to learn some new stuff and to regain self-confidence.
