Autin Trout Says he plans on winning impressively against Cotto!

I agree that he has talent but I just don't think he's active enough on offense to win a decision against Cotto in New York. To beat Junito in New York, you've got to take the victory and I just don't think that's in Trout's DNA.

 

If he stops him which I think he will you don't need judge's.

 

everyone underestimates cotto just like foreman was suppose to beat him and was to big and to fast and after everyone said foreman was a bum...boxing fans are the worst trout was hand picked

 

Trout watches tape and fights based on what he sees. At most, this is a smokescreen.

 

Watch his fight against Alvarez on YouTube. He adjusts his style based on his opponent. In that one, he was still throwing 80 punches a round in the 12th.

Yeah, but Rigo Alvarez is an opponent levels below Cotto. I'm having a hard time believing Trout can be more offensive than usual against Cotto. The Judges will be in Cotto's favor as most in attendance, so Trout will have to implement a little more effective offense. But in reality, he'll need a KO to beat the Boricua at MSG.

 

I don't know about that. Other than Cotto-Clottey, the scoring for Cotto's fights has always been pretty fair. Cotto-Mosley was scored completely fair, as were the Judah and Malignaggi fights. Urkal and Quintana both probably got more rounds than they deserved, and while neither fight was at MSG, they were both in Cotto territory. It will depend at least in part on who is judging.

That said, Cotto still punches harder than Trout, and I can easily see it being a close fight where Cotto wins wide on the cards because they prefer Cotto's hard shots to Trout's jabs and volume.

And Cotto is undoubtedly better than Rigoberto Alvarez, or any other fighter Trout has ever faced. Trout isn't bad at all though. He doesn't fight with the most pleasing style, but he's there to win, and he's good at sticking to his gameplan, which in turn helps make his opponents look bad. The Delvin Rodriguez Trout shellacked wasn't any worse than the one who fought Wolak - he just looked worse because Trout neutralized his offense with his movement. He also has fantastic conditioning.

 

Trout will be more than game. I am sure he will be ready but I do not see him winning this.

 

You are correct, those fights that Cotto won in his territory were judged pretty fair. But Trout has that style that is not pleasing, although it's very effective. So IMHO, against Cotto his style will not be appreciated by the judges and in a situation where he might win a close round, the judges might sway in Cotto's favor due to Trout's unpleasing style. If Trout gives the same performance he did against Delvin I doubt he can receive the same scoring in his favor.

 

I plan on balling Mila Kunis and Gina Gershon at the same time.

I respect Cotto for taking this fight coming off a loss...I'm very interested in seeing these two square off...I've seen some of Trout's fights and he a decent fighter but I dont think he has all of the tools to beat Cotto. None the less, this is gonna be a good scrap.

 

Cotto has been in a lot of tough fights and is getting up in age with a good and FAST boxer that's not good.I will be surprised if Cotto wins.And this is not a disrespect thing just a very good to great fighter coming to the end of the road.

 

Floyd had a hard time winning impressively i doubt trout can. Havent seen too much of the kid but hes no Floyd.
