average amount of time from first starting training to first amatuer fight

    Im in my late twenties and feel like giving boxing a go, already very fit with a low bodyfat, can run 6 miles fairly easily,bench,deadlift,squat and row my bodyweight.What is the average amount of time from first starting training to first amatuer fight?

    depends really 4months to 18months depends how good you are and on your club

    i got 3 monthes but me m8 ad 2 wait 3 years

    Wow nice going!Why so quick?were you in shape already and had done some bagwork etc on your own?And why did your friend take 2 years?

    i came from a boxing family so i pretty much knew the fundementals
    and i impressred in sparring
    and me m8 waitd 3 years due to being very outa shape an low in self confidence
    although hes now about 10 fights and has won 2 tournaments
