Lots of arm snatching and fencing with interlocked wrists on the inside, pretty ugly. Mock busier and faster (despite being significantly older) yet still with very scattered aim. Yıldırım connecting on just enough right hands down the middle to nudge himself over the line.

Im enjoying this. I'm curious to see who tires out first. Also there is possibility that this turns to be a hugfest sooner or later. They can't keep up this for 12 rounds.

 

UFC main event today consisted of a 41 and 44 year old a lot of old dogs competing today.

 

Butt halfway into the 5th, both swollen up pretty badly. They pause to check Yıldırım.

Time in. Mock jab, jab, jab, then a heel-toe semicircle to his left, and some wide sweeping hooks dusting Yıldırım's forehead and tops of his gloves. Yıldırım picks his spots, drilling right hands into Mock's schnoz, grazing his ear with some jabs, and missing outright with some embarrassingly poor-form hooks. Every time Yıldırım lands a shot Mock is making sure to flurry back in counter for the judges' benefit.

Meh.

Yıldırım is jabbing up top and getting softly thumped on the sides as Mock bends in and works hooks & uppercuts with his partly unbent knees providing leverage. Yıldırım ducking forward and Mock clobbering his nape with both arms lashing down like wacky pool noodles. Yıldırım having a hard time getting off any body combos as seems to be his intent, leaning too far down and unwilling to lift his face while Mock is flailing at him from above. Yıldırım grinds in and clinches, then shoves his elbow into Mock's throat. Dirty fucker. Yıldırım misses a right and Mock grinds in, uppercutting his chin, then reaches around to whip a hook into his kidneys as they're pressed tight. Right hand by Yıldırım.

Yıldırım is hurling the right hand up from the hip and getting beaten to the punch by Mock's right, then outworked on the inside some more. Yıldırım able to peck at Mock's face with some close-quarters 1-2s as Mock begins tiring, but Mock in turn is slapping up the carapace of the burly Turk and caressing him with light sweeping hooks on the break.
