It most certainly wasn't Eubank Jr, he has always wanted that fight bad.

Saunders says a lot of things, he talks too much. Still he is a hard fight for anyone in the division because he knows how to not get hit. To say otherwise is just a joke, why all of a sudden does GGG not want the fight? It's so easy it would be like a sparring session???

That's rubbish we all know it is a very difficult fight for the middle aged one, when GGG was prime they were still in nappies.

Who was it then? The fight was on the table, Eubank swerved it and Brook took his place, anything else is just to weird to comprehend ! This is what I mean about you looking a ****...I see posts where you get ripped for this and laughed at, because its not remotely accurate or true..

Does it matter what people say on this board, it's basically a GGG fan club, the guy can do no wrong here.

Jr gets castigated for negotiating a contract that had a deadline that was 1 week after his previous fight, when fighters give GGG a one week deadline you people laugh it off as a pathetic demand. 1 week is a pathetic deadline, but not for Jr it's legit.

Hearns excuses were that they wanted to double the ticket prices and they wanted Barry McGuigan as a guest commentator and these were deemed as over the top demands.

Firstly, why can't they double the ticket prices GGG doubled his ticket prices in the Jacobs fight and against Canelo they were 10x more expensive. If they double the ticket prices they would have still sold, but we all know that Hearn has his stubhub deal and the prices are already tripled. Sr also said Hearn himself brought up the idea of increasing ticket prices.

Why couldn't sky have McGuigan as a guest commentator? They have guest commentators all the time. McGuigan is more qualified than most. More importantly though Sr said it wasn't a deal breaker, they only asked for it, it wasn't a demand.

The only reason they fought Brook was for the money, they could have easily got a real contender in the US and Brook should have fought Vargas. Brook had nothing to lose in the fight he got pummeled and came out a hero. GGG fans loved the fight too even though they ridiculed the Canelo Khan fight.

Golovkin flew all the way to the UK to sign the contract as agreed by Eubank, a fight that Eubank said he wanted but then backed out. So, at the last minute Brook signed. Golovkin had to fight somebody, he couldn't get anyone to fight him at that time.

Why didn't Jr just pick Brant, Yildirim is going to be a battle of attrition.

Jr would be smart to tap and run, but we all know he will go toe to toe with anyone, and against Yildirim I expect no different.

As a fan I don't want him to change his style just to make it easier, I like to see the blistering combinations. I'm not a fan of tap and run, that ain't boxing to me and I don't look fondly at it when scoring. You have to be dominant with it to win rounds by me.

Yildirim is a beast and if he was fighting anyone else people would be raving about him, but since he's fighting Jr he's a bum, quite pathetic honestly.

He did not back out, Hearn pulled the plug and stopped answering the phone.

His game plan was to give the fight to his pet Brook all along, it was the only way Brook could make coin.

Brook vs Spence was a great fight but it was a PPV flop and he had to share it with Groves too.

Snr had some outlandish demands. I don't blame Jnr for that but I do blame Snr for missing the deadline set by GGG's team to seal the deal. They couldn't wait on Snr continuing to play games and making silly demands like him setting ticket prices which would have been higher than planned, to controlling the undercard/purses and even having Barry McGuigan as the co-commentator!

The way I remember it, was that an agreement had never been reached between Jr and GGG. Hearn gave the Eubanks a deadline to sign the contract, he said the offer was there so you can either take it or leave it, but the Eubanks wanted a better slice of the PPV money (in fact BJS had said in the past he would have got no more money fighting GGG than he would fighting any old bum!), the Eubanks had a meeting with Sky to try and get more money, they got nowhere with Sky, the deadline passed, and Hearn fed Kell Brook to GGG instead.

There's a little more to it than that....... Hearn and Brook wanted out of the Vargas PPV since they had overpaid Vargas to come over and the interest in the PPV just wasn't there.
Hearn had a dilemma - make Jr vs GGG or make Brook vs GGG. He gave the PPV to Brook since he was a long term Matchroom fighter , plus Brook had a big PPV earner written into his contract. Hearn had to deliver for Book. He had no obligations to Eubank.
Plus , Hearn and Tom Loefler had been in provisional negotiations for Golovkin to meet Brook since Kell called Golovkin out months prior. Remember Brook had/has a contract with Showtime and GGG is with HBO. It isn't possible to cut a deal with two fighters from rivaling networks in such a short space of time , most of the time fights never even get made because of rivaling networks. The majority of people on here believe Hearn cut that deal at the drop of a hat. Eubank had demands that could have been ironed out had team GGG really wanted that fight , but the reality is they were only too happy to fight Kell Brook.

you really know nothing about boxing!!!!!

    How wrong could you be!!

Had you even seen him fight

I looked up his fights, I realised he had absolutely nothing in every department and was completely useless like all fighters from Turkey. I'm was amazed he even got picked for the tournament.

So much for Hell, but it means allot when you don't even know about this guy Avni Y, and i watch boxing all the time been a fan when i was born punching the nurse LOL and that is a TRUE story to. But i never seen this kid and i do watch SKY sports when i can. Maybe cause i live in the USA that i dont no him.

Thats why you don't pick fighters you have no idea about or no clue who they are or if they have any skill cause they fight just bums thats why you never heard of them. They are the fighter on the under-card that doesent even get TV time .

This guy was just a LAMB put in to make Eubank Jr look great and a tune up.

But you picked him cause you thought Eubank Jr was a fake Hype job fighter using his dads legacy to build his record and make money .
But Eubank is just a good fighter that has talent but we have no Super Middle Weights that are even good right now. So he will end up with one of the titles anyway He should beat Gilberto R he looks like a broke ass Chavez Jr LOL Eubank Jr can beat him. Just fight him on the inside, Gilberto's wide as punches he throws throws wide ass hooks hes got. Eubank should beat him cause he is a power puncher who likes the inside game and doesn't like movers boxers that use great jabs he cant get set and use his power punches. Boxers that fight Cris Eubank Jr on the inside are looking for hell, he can punch but not like his dad he could hit like a Mac Truck.
