Yildrim sounds like some type of Orc tribe from Lord of the Rings or something. Anyway, he is trash, and Eubank Jr. took it out. No way in hell should Yildrim have been in the WBSS.

 

Neither should Jamie Cox, tbf..

 

Yildrim fell for the bait and switch in there.

Firstly he was being tanked by the shoulder drop and upper cut routine in round 1 constantly.

Then just as he was expecting that attack, CEJ switched to the outside hooks and ducking under and around defence.

It left Yildrim so confused and buzzed that it was fun to watch.

 

It was priceless to see Öner's face after the KO.

After Groves I guess we now know that Eubank Jr sucks and Yildirim sucks even more LMFAO at the idea of Junior beating GGG. Even Old Man Golovkin today would spank him and send him hollering to momma

Yeah and that crazy dad of his is doing him no favours. Sure Junior is in great condition but Groves boxed rings around him and made him look like a chump. It's pointless being in "A" shape if you can't box worth a lick and are going to be a mobile heavy bag for a guy with skills. And ... nobody ever said that Groves is some sort of ATG And so much for all the Yildirim hype LOL

 

Its too late now imo, but Eubank Jnr showed me that if he was caught at the right time in his early career he could've been nearly as good as him and his father first thought. There was something solid to work with if he wasn't so far up his own arse, that a good trainer could've done something special with. There's no denying his flaw's though, I feel matched right he can still make a few quid and look good at the same time

 

That's a fair post, but there are so many of these coulda-woulda-shoulda guys littering boxing that it's almost like a meme. You may be right. But Groves panel-beating Eubank also was a wake up call to the numbskulls that bought into the Eubank hype as The Next Big Thing. Well, maybe he can still improve and do something useful. He's not that old.

 

With his lack of fundamentals he done a pretty good job against Billy Joe, and against a much bigger Groves he didn't get sparked, Groves was a worthy winner but he was cagey with Jnr.. His managing his own career and doing it his way without a trainer is mental, a good percentage of his potential lost right there. I don't know what the **** Ronnie Davies role is either

 

Yildrim isn't even domestic level. Maybe village level. Getting beat down by Eubank, is like losing to a cabby.

 

Village level I can see it now: the impromptu village boxing match in between the baling strings, after the goat herders have had too much wine

 

He wasn't even competitive with Eubank. Is this the guy who allegedly knocked DeGale's teeth out in sparring?
