During The Super Six Tournament Andre Ward pulled out from a fight against the very athletic Andre Dirrell, maybe because he didn't want to fight a friend or maybe because he was unsure how he would cope with Dirrells speed and reflexes. Boxing fans around the world was on the loosing end.

But Wards elusiveness was only about to start showing.

Next he flat out refused to face of with Canadian title holder Lucian Bute, saying he wanted to take it easy for the time beeing after the his tough fights during Super Six.

To Wards credit, he shortly thereafter proved his worth by defeating and stoping Chad Dawson, but of course it was Dawson who had to move down in weight and to travel.

Next on scheduel is Wards duck of Golovkin. Surely Ward is an excellent boxer and a honourable family man. But as a pro boxer, isn't he a bit lame?

    Discuss.

Lol, the funny thing about this is that is was ANDRE DIRRELL that arguably ducked Ward... And GGG is the one that never mentions Andre Ward's name as a future opponent...

Bute, I mean... Considering what happened to him, I don't see the point, but I guess at the time you could have made an argument

I agree that makes sense from Golovkins point of view. However, Ward vs Golovkin should be one of the most exciting fights that could be made at this point. The student of the sweet science against a straight forward warrior. I'd really appreciate if they could get it on.

Not that I'd miss Golovkin vs Cotto either.

I don't think Ward is going to or is ducking Golovkin, I think given the chance he'd take it. Even as a GGG fan I think it's GGG who doesn't want the fight with Ward at the moment but to me it's not ducking like other people often see it.

Ward and Dirrell ducked each other, which was a real let down. They just didn't want to get it on. Ward avoided Bute, claiming hand injury and need for some easy fights. Quite lame.

Triple G never mentions Ward, yet Ward mentions Triple G all the time. Dirrel never wanted to fight Ward dummy.

Trip G is trying to get paid and he knows where the money is at. He wants that PPV money and Froch, Canelo, Cotto, and Chavez Jr can give him that. With Ward, he only gets an ass whooping. It's a no brainer.

You can't duck a guy who has zero interest in fighting you, and per Golovkin himself he does not want to fight Andre Ward. It's also a well known fact that Dirrell pulled out of the super six tournament with an apparent brain injury. Ward should have fought Bute.

GGG corners ward and knocks him out..it's an interesting fight that I would love to see.

But I'd much rather see him KO cotto in MSG, and then go on to war with Froch or chavez jr. that's a wet dream that would be insane to see.

Ward - I'd like it…but really don't care if it happens or not. Let him figure out his legal issues now that goosen is dead.

Froch is getting to damn old to go to war. He needs to kick back and enjoy his wealth, fame and family. I'd like to see Golovkin vs Cotto and Chavez Jr, but I think Ward would be a tougher challenge.

Agree with all this …it's a more interesting chess match with ward and "tougher" fight in terms of styles, but i don't wanna see a talent like GGG in a stinker. You need to use a talent like this to throw red meat to the masses.

Froch wants a PPV fight in Vegas - his latest interview he states he's dropping his belt, avoiding Gale, and is determine to fight in Vegas. That only allows for a war vs Chavez or GGG.

It's being set up so that Froch/Chavez winner will meet GGG after he disposes of Cotto/Alvarez and is 'unified and lineal" MW champion.

    Could be fair :think

We'll see if Golovkin can gets his business done at MW, and perhaps after that he and Ward can try to get it on. But for whatever strange reason I suspekt Ward will require Golovkin to move the whole way up to SMW, and come to fight in Wards hometown.
