Yes I have seen the odds, and frankly if I was going t lay any money either way it would be on Hopkins, although I am a big fan of Pavlik. Christ I'm not talking about betting the farm on this; it's an avatar bet. If you don't like the terms you don't need to take the bet, or ***** about it...
Hopkins was also the underdog against Trinidad, Tarver, Wright... the list goes on. If you don't want to do the bet, then don't.
