Really enjoyed it. Souza, Gracia and Diaz were all awesome. It wasn't just the same old sub as you usually see, it was much more complete show of techniques and physical control. I love when BJJ fighters use jits to get out of a situation which would end up really bad for someone else i.e. Gracie kept rolling with Prangley and Diaz was taken down. Awesome.
One factor I think you saw is that both Roger and Jacare were well adapted to the cage, in the past thats often been a problem for BJJ fighters.
It was a pleasure to watch. I was really pleased with Roger Gracie's performance. Trevor Prangley was a good step up in competition and he passed the test with flying colours. Give him Mike Kyle or Antwain Britt next.
Agreed all great Jiujitsu. Roger's on Prangley was just straight dominant you could see Prangley KNEW what to do but there was no what he could execute it as Roger is sooo damn tight. Jacare displayed how tight pressure, constant attacking can really wear a guy down. Robbie did a great job escaping 3-4 submissions but you can only fend them off for so long. I bet his arms where shot by the time Jacare had took his back. Diaz was also very impressive it wasnt but 15 secounds after hes took down hes hitting a beautiful armbar on another BJJ Blackbelt. Just shows you there are levels in BJJ guys like Gracie, Diaz and Jacare are pretty ****ing high level.
In MMA, unfortunately a black belt means you are good but there are levels above that! I think Gracie has long arms so when he locks the RNC, it is like he is completely folding his arms and your neck is just being squeezed to ****. He did the same with Randleman. The lock on the neck looks unreal.
