Mendez looked impressive in route to a convincing victory tonight but Ramirez' corner should be fined. He had no business continuing after about the 6th round. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Ramirez has long-term damage from tonight's fight. Totally irresponsible for allowing him to continue.
Even some of those fights on Univision & Azteca, with the standard Mexican "veteran" getting pounded, the referee / corner has enough sense to cease fisticuffs to save the fighter from getting too much punishment in a fight he can never win.
