Awkward AJ and Ruiz Moment Yesterday.

    Starts about @6:20 to @6:31


    AJ is hitting the pads at the open workout while Ruiz is going up the escalator / lifts with a goofy grin waving to AJ with his team, where AJ acknowledges him seconds later as he happens to look up in that direction before Ruiz reaches the top and out of view.

    Anybody else catch this ? Just thought it was funny with elevator music playing and thinking how both are going to go in and take each others head off . Hope someone can edit this in with the K.O finish if they have a channel.

    Joshua doesn't appear as bulky as normal and looks very quick.

    I understand now more so, why people think he's robotic. He throws very short bent arm shots where he pivots his body with the shot. I never really noticed this much until now.

    I thought that was classy, bet both were chuckling in their own heads.

    Looking forward to seeing Ruiz in action actually, he caused Parker alsorts of problems and is clearly duarable.

    Still fancy AJ within the distance though.

    IDK about that ,looks 250 to me here. Very thick like when he was training for Wlad.

    His weight has been always exaggerated on how to effects him ,he weighes 247 on average. per fight since 2015.

    People think hes robotic bc his build, its in fact a very technical fighter who doesn't waste movements and is able to throw in combinations ,he wont be the most fluid combo puncher but show me an all muscle 240 plus guy that ever was/ Even Bruno who was 6'2 /6'3 and at 225 wasn't as smooth as AJ.

    Fighting at 250 however or over is something he still has to get used to so im assuming should he come in at that weight hes expecting short fight.

    You may be right regarding the weight, I generally only watch when he fights none of the pad work etc, so it might be that tight fitting top he's wearing. Lol

    I'm not discrediting joshuas movement or technique was just merely pointing out why I get now people suggest he's robotic. However to me his movement has come on leaps and bounds and he does show progression each time I see him.

    Fighters don't start to really set down yet until after 20 something fights. For whatever reason most haven't figured that out yet ,that fighters wont actually look polished until around fight 25. Joshua is about 3 fights away from being where he could and will be, you'll see.

    Optimum weight will depend on opponent ,he will most likely get comfortable closer to 250 the way he trains which is good as long as he could maintain high level cardio training.

    Just saw a pic of aj on his ig. Looks bulkier then I’ve ever seen. Oddly enough could be to his detriment vs Andy.
    Hope aj doesn’t gas after 10 rounds of hard bodyshots.....lol
