His ferocious sustained body attack is just about as damaging and lethal as you'll ever see. The way he wound up and just pounded you... brutal and terrible but amazing all the same.

    Beautifully awkward.
A brilliant, gifted, unorthodox, tricky as hell, awkward one-eyed fighter who was finally beaten by Emile Griffith.

From what I've heard he already had eye problems by the time of his poor form against Griffith. A shame. His entire life reads like a tragic story, and he was dead in his early 40's. Terrible.

Just a snippet survives of the great Emile Griffith finally being the guy to solve the Gypsy Joe Harris riddle.

I gave Limon/Chavon IV a watch within the past several weeks and it's still floating around in my mind. What an incredible fight.

Limon/Navarette was great itself. The heavy artillery that Limon had to walk through before Rolando was run ragged was incredible. It was such a great match up of styles. I believe they fought again years later ??

Oh man, drinking and enjoying fights I'm hoping?! Or are you just kicking the feet up and forum browsing?

I'm a little under the influence myself, but not from anything you drink or ingest, hahah. I'll leave it at that. Whatever, it helps me enjoy the fights.:eek::risas3:

Willie Meehan (Jack Dempsey's nemesis), was suppose to have a "weird" style.
