Love got dropped in the second and then finished off with a prolonged series of flailing rights before the ref jumped in...honestly most of those were rabbit punches but whatever. :nusenuse:

Ngayot is originally Congolese but lives and trains in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area. He is 8-3, with seven of his wins and none of his losses by KO.

Jaylan "No Playing" Phillips is an East Coast southpaw with a 4-5-4 record. Abdullah Mason made his pro debut stopping Phillips:

Phillips has THREE CONSECUTIVE DRAWS against one opponent: Antoine Cobb, spanning a year from April of 2022 until April of 2023.

Cobb's entire career consists of winning his pro debut via KO1 in 2021, and then drawing thrice with Phillips. Hasn't fought since. Absolute cinema.

Carlos Irusta has Ngayot on his way to getting upset...giving him just the first round, with Phillips up 29-28.

I haven't found this interesting enough to watch closely and score, but JKP does seem to be giving Ngayot fits with his length and herky-jerky southpaw awkwardness.

Ngayot raises his arms triumphantly...not sure I'd count your chickens just yet, chief. :sisi1

He did claw his way back towards a draw on Irusta's card in the last two rounds, 57-57.

Commentators were...unimpressed with the judges, to say the least.

Man, poor Phillips. I've read that at least one of the three Cobb draws was a robbery...and of his three losses that weren't by KO, all were MD or SD. Could well be that he deserves to be 12-2 rather than 4-5-5.

Judges play in his face and awful lot for a dude nicknamed No Playin'. :sisi1

Looks like we have another upset brewing, at least on Carlos Irusta's card. He has Preciado, the 37 year old Colombian journeyman, up 39-37 over the young American prospect, giving de Jesús only round three.

de Jesús getting sonned here. Irusta had him winning the 5th but losing the 6th...and he's definitely on his way to losing the 7th here, meaning he needs at least a knockdown to not lose heading into the final round on Irusta's card.
