Anyone giving Scoby a chance of an upset here? Hits pretty hard and Azim not really been chin checked yet. @CST80 thoughts on this one?
Very Fast hands British Pakistani Young hyped prospect Yet to be chin checked Fighting a 19 fight heavy handed guy hes expected to steamroll I feel like ive seen this story before.....
Tbf Khan had already shown serious signs of a weak chin before Prescott and Azim hasn’t to that extent but I’ve watched Scoby and if he can time Azim it will be really interesting. Looks a unit at the weight.
Just glad to see Adam out. This is his 4th fight in 2 years, which is an absolute joke for a prospect of his quality. It shows badly promoted he is, and to be honest, this fight really isn't the fight I'd expect to see him get chin-checked in. If anything, Scoby is the one who has shown he has a shaky chin; he's been stopped before, and his gas tank is horrendous, which compounds the problem. Adam will be chin-checked at some point, but I can't see it happening this weekend. Lipinets & O'Hara Davies hit harder than Scoby, and Scoby got stopped by a club fighter, and he has never fought above that level. This is a gigantic step up on a huge event, and he's facing one of the best prospects in the division. Azim's speed is going to be like nothing Scoby has ever encountered before. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him get blown away in the first round.
Stylistically, Scoby definitely has a shot. His one loss to Linger was down to Linger having the better gas tank and pushing the pace relentlessly, he never dropped Scoby though. Azim tends to never mix it up, and box at range, while Scoby walks down his opponents with a fairly tight high guard. Question is, will he be able to do enough damage and land frequently enough on Azim to wear him down and get him out of there late. Or will he walk onto something big, get rocked or put down, and become overly cautious and be content with not getting knocked out? If Azim has no chin whatsoever, then yeah... Scoby has a chance. Although I think the moment might get to Scoby, and he's sloppy enough to walk onto something big. Chance of an upset I'd put at around 30%.
Scoby won't have a scooby to what's going on lol Former NFL turned boxer so started boxing late , Adam started boxing at 4yrs old lol Always in boxing anyone has a punchers chance no doubt but Adam is just too fast and switched on for them wild hooks, plus Adam has a reach advantage too. Adam needs some serious rounds under his belt and I would fight this guy at range for at least first 4 rounds , he known not to have good stamina so probably start gassing out around mid way , after that Adam will toy with him and finish him off in style. Adam needs to put on a show and impress the Saudis.. Turki will be watching..
I'm guessing that having turned down multiple opponents Azim is way down the pecking order for turki.
