Akhmadjonov took the first two minutes off and then turned it on and landed some good shots but Ferdinandus would not go down. He is pretty proud of himself as he raises his hand and bows to the crowd on each side of the ring.

Qudratillo Abduqaxorov vs Twaha Kiduku, 8 rounds @ welterweight

Abduqaxorov starts right out the gate with a focus on the body. Kiduku clearly bothered by the body shots. Nice quick smooth combinations from the Punisher with the majority of the punches going to the body.

Abduqaxorov back on the body and then wobbles Kiduku with a straight right hand after some nice footwork gets him in a position Kiduku wasn't expecting. Excellent combo from Abduqaxorov at the end of the round starting with a right to the body, left hook, then right uppercut.

Abduqaxorov has an impressive repertoire of punches and very good footwork. He pivots and repositions himself after punching which opens up other punching opportunities. He is showing a good engine too, with a high punch output. Great work form Abduqaxorov.

Kiduku hanging in there trying to attack when Abduqaxorov gives him the opportunity. Big right hand lands for Abduqaxorov in an exchange that he gets the better of. Kiduku backs off and Abduqaxorov turns up the pressure, but slows back down and cruises the final 45 seconds.

Abduqaxorov has dropped his activity level a bit and the combinations are fewer now. He lands another big right hand right on the button but Kiduku takes it. That would have knocked out, or at least knocked down, many men. Props to Kiduku.

This fight closely resembles the previous fight, where the Uzbek is clearly more skilled and the opponent is a very tough customer. Abduqaxorov still in control but has decided that he will probably not get the KO and will need to go the distance.

I can never tell if Qudratillo is for real because he makes things so easy at times, you think he’s boxing bum

He has some impressive skills, and seems very well schooled. I will be very interested in watching his progression. I think he can make some noise in the top ten of the division now, and maybe top five with some more seasoning.
