Because Sanchez isn't some paragon of fight scoring, his opinion is the same as everyone else's who can score a fight. Just because he's a trainer doesn't mean his word overrides thousands of people who are saying otherwise. I honestly hold his word to no higher standard than anybody else, in fact, there's quite a few people whose ability to score a fight I respect vastly more and they had the fight clearly scored for Triple G.
Look, I'm not saying that Sanchez's view is the be all end all of scoring. But why can't you admit that Sanchez having the fight even (as opposed to having GGG winning) is more indicative of the fight not being a robbery than the fight being a robbery. We're talking about the trainer of the fighter with every incentive in the world to say his fighter won, still not saying that. Giving credit to Canelo, saying he had it even but admitting that Canelo won and that's what's important.

Well for one, I disagree with his assessment. I'll take one thing back though, the fight is not really a robbery per se in a way that true robberies are. I've seen far worse. But it was a bad decision and one that was most likely influenced by outside factors, that's my opinion of it. But back to Abel, honestly, I'm quite stumped how easily accepting he was that Canelo was awarded a win and I've seldom seen a trainer in a close fight such as this just hand it to the opponent like that. In fact this is the first time. Most of the time even when a fighter CLEARLY lost they'd still try and argue how they deserved to win. Here, when Abel is fully within his right to say "Man that was some BS", he does the exact opposite. To me it's VERY suspect and if I was GGG, I'd honestly be furious if my trainer was like that. I'd probably just sack him for these kind of comments.
Sanchez didn’t have the fight even. After the fight he showed some sportsmanship, but in his last interview he said after he heard the scorecards he knew they got robbed again. That’s why Golovkin left the ring without an interview. What the F hell should he say if gets robbed twice in a row in Vegas?
golovkin landed the way better power shots, your opinion is the least valued on this forum your a clown
Lol.. Sure buddy. I guess you missed all those body power punches. Also did you get a chance to see GGGs face? Golovkin has never been beat up like that. GGGs body was brutalized. GGG was outlanded in power punches. GGGs face has never looked so beat up. GGG has never been backed up. GGGs trainer said he was losing the fight going into the 9th or 10th and needed all three rounds. GGG officially lost.
Abel fd up here bigtime man He even said in an interview an hour after the fight "I'm just happy that another mexican fighter is champion" Like REALLYLYYYYYYYYYY What kind of ish is that? I think Abel was pissed at GGG and threw him under the bus Abel needs to get canned for saying stuff like this
Canelo fought a great fight and he stood his ground in a way that many observers did not think he would, but he did not do enough to take the belts from the champion. After about 8 rounds the fight was even or near even. At that point GGG did what he does and ratcheted his output up to a higher level. He was absolutely exhausted, partly due to age and partly due to the great bodywork of Canelo, yet he willed himself into a higher gear. Both fighters are worthy of respect for their performances, but only Golovkin deserved the win. The reason people are crying robbery is that they lifted the belts from the champion based on a performance from Canelo that was unemphatic. When you look at the fact that only one judge out of six over the course of two fights had GGG winning when most observers believe that he won both fights you are confronted by the likelihood that some kind of funny business was involved. Then you look at the scores in the Trout, Lara, and Mayweather fights and realize that any opponent of Canelo has a stacked deck against him and can't win on the cards unless he pitches a shutout. Even then, at least one judge will score a draw. Canelo is very difficult to KO due to his toughness and durability so the likelihood of anyone beating him anytime soon is very low. On top of that, his fans will always find a way to twist it in a way that justifies his victory in their minds because they seem incapable of scoring his fights objectively.
First fight wasn’t because at least he kept his belts. Second fight was. He won (you know it too) but they gave the fight to Canelo. But the bigger problem is that he also lost his belts (30 years of hard work), chance to unify all the belts, chance to retire undefeated and undisputed, and obviously without belts at the age of 37 to negotiate about the third fight it’s a different story. So yes first fight wasn’t a robbery, but second one was.
When I was watching that interview I was hoping Golovkin gets rid of him. But yesterday he said he thinks they got robbed and his relationship with Golovkin is still good.
