Fenech at feather was a terrible style match up for Pac. He smothers his power, and Pac cannot fight off the back foot. Fenech is so strong, he would beat Pac around the ring, and he is a much superior fighter in close quarters. Pac's offense is his defence, and in close quarters his defence is wide open. A guy like Fenech who thrived on the inside would have broken him down round by round, and yes eaten him up. Look at the way he drove back a very strong and naturally bigger opponent like Nelson.

Pac would land some good punches i'm sure, but Jeff Fenech had an iron chin in his prime. His workrate, strength, handspeed, tenacity, head and upperbody movement would have been far to much for Manny.

If you don't think so, you need to go back and watch more of Jeff at this weight. The guy was just an animal, one that stylistically would match up well to Pac.

 

fenech at his prime was a monster. he all but had nelson ko'd in the first fight. nelson is a hall of famer. look at his record.

Fair enough. It takes actual boxing knowledge to make an educated response, so my expectations from you weren't high.

In some ways i was interested though to see your thought process, as neither of the fighters here are black. Your lack of comment pretty much summed up nicely all the other contributing factors you look at when analysing a fight. Cheers mate.

 

I would back Fenech at Feather over Pacquiao any day of the week. The continual under rating of Fenech as a fighter by new age fans (I'm not suggesting you are Teke) astounds me.

Fenech could be put on the canvas in his prime, however he got up and kicked the **** out of fighters continually. Stealing them of their will to fight.

fenech may not have been the greatest feather of all time, but if fenech fought him, it would be a hard fought contest.
