Two of the greatest super featherweights in the history of boxing

Azumah Nelson record in title fights at super featherweight being (12W 2L 1D 7KO's) over a 9 year period

Floyd Mayweather Jr's record in title fights at super featherweight being (9W 0L 0D 6KO's) over a 3 year period

My pick for this one is

Floyd Mayweather Jr By 15 Rd Decision

  2. Lmao Floyd would never take on a hard hitting fighter such as Nelson.

I have Floyd taking making Azzumahs day by KO!

Nelson's pretty predictable in what he does, walks forward apply's pressure but a quality boxer is going to see what hes doing and punch and move or counter. It doesnt make it easy but Mayweather can outbox him in a tough fight

    I agree with your pick.

Mayweather`s movement, speed & accuracy would win him a clear UD, not as clear as Whitaker`s victory of Nelson 5 lbs north but a non-disputed verdict nonetheless.

Mayweather would be way to fast. He would easily outbox Nelson.

Floyd is not a great matchup for Nelson but at 130 he was more 'gung-ho'...I take Floyd 8-4 decision.

It would resemble Nelson vs Whittaker with Floyd winning a easy UD
By the way, always loved Azumah

I'd favour Mayweather 7 rounds to 5 over Nelson. It wouldn't be a wide UD, but Mayweather survives a tough, rugged fight with Nelson pressing the actions until the final bell.

No ones having an easy fight with azumah at this weight however i believe that floyds skillset is suited to hand Nelson a close but clear points decision loss. 8-4 rnds

Based on styles this would be a surprisingly easy match up for Mayweather. He does his best work against walk you down, aggressive type fighters. Also Mayweather's defense wasnt ass impregnable as it is now and he was a little more aggressive so it would be a litle closer than the fight Nelson had with Whitaker 5 pounds to the North. Mayweather's jab, speed, and good power at the weight would keep Nelson honest and his footwrok and defense will see him through to a UD.

This wouldn't be a surprisingly easy fight, not against Azumah Nelson. I'd bet on Azumah, hurting Mayweather a couple of times in the fight and making the contest quite interesting. Mayweather likely wins the decision over 12 rounds against Nelson, but it definitely won't be an easy fight, prime for prime.
