Disagree with you Mr.R, Camacho didn't become a defensive 1st fighter until after Rosario blasted him. Prior to that he was one of the most dynamic talents to have come along in a long while, and, in my opinion, had possibly G.O.A.T type of ability. His blitzkrieg of tough as nails Limon is still one of the best performances Iv'e seen against top ten, or world class competition. As good as Nelson was, at that weight I don't see him being able to trap that version of Camacho to due much damage. A fight between that version of Camacho and Nelson would be almost a carbon copy of Nelson vs Whitaker. (yes I know Nelson was beyond his prime, but even in prime that fight would be harder, but same result.) Camacho by tough fight, but unanimous dec.
Consider the fact that is was probably the weight Camacho was best at, he would win a decision on the lines of 9-3, maybe 10-2 on a great night. Nelson just a couple of steps behind.
So let's get this straight. Nelson would be able to accomplish what Chavez,Rosario, and Delayhoya couldn't do. Stop Camacho. I hope you don't really believe that.
at 130 yes. He had shorter punches than Rosario. and Chavez and Oscar were not at their starting weights either.
