Could literally go either way. The professor would need to make some adjustments or I feel Saldivars aggression gets him a points victory
I need to sit down and watch some more of Saldivar first before making a confident prediction. The little I have seen though has impressed me. Nelson, Sanchez, Saldivar and Arguello sounds like an awesome fantasy featherweight tournament.
Saldivar I think would probably take this ..but Nelson on his very best day would really have him struggling .It would be a classic entertainment fight for sure.
Good thread. I think Saldivar stops Nelson in 15 rd fight. Vincente's left like Salvador's did wrecks Azumah in the end. Nelson always set the pace of his fights. Saldivar would set a horrific pace bomb the body and take Azumah out with lefts.
My pick as well The Morlocks....I liken Saldivar's strength as equal to Marciano's compared to his feather contemporaries....I think he would have worn down the Professor eventually...like in rounds 12 through 15.
Hi Russell! Thanks for introducing Baby Luis to us. I was always aware of that dq stain on Saldivar's record via Baby Luis.
I like the Professor in this one, in a tough majority win. Saldivar reminds me of Fenech with slower hands. He hit harder than Fenech, also him being south paw would also be an advantage, but prime vs prime I see Nelson out pacing Saldivar primarily off his lead right hand, and movement.
No problem sir. How have you been lately RC? Haven't heard much from you lately. (Or maybe I just haven't been around enough)
Nelson was an intelligent operator possessing a killer instinct. Both were crafty as hell with great athletic attributes. Trying not to be fanboy but picking Nelson to figure a way to a close decision.
I went through a long spell fighting bronchial asthma...and the prednisone...the steroid used to fight it with can be almost as bad with the side effects....I think I've turned the corner on the asthma...but not the coughing part...yet.. Hope you've been all right my man...You haven't been around as much, and that's a very bad thing for the forum, as you're one of the best...the "Ruben Olivares of posters" to be accurate...
