Arellano gets the stoppage with literally a minute left in the sixth, but he never actually put Ramos down - just power-flurried on him, rocked him a few times and caused the ref to finally step in.

    TKO6!

Commentators lauding how Arellano got Ramos to bring his arms down with body shots - which is true, but he left himself open for some downright stupid right hook counters slapped out by Ramos on the backfoot. If facing a puncher, he dearly pays for that laziness.

Valenzuela in blue is making his pro debut. Borboa has fought in four prior bouts and lost half of them (winning and drawing one apiece)

They confirmed just before this match that yes indeed - the main event has "fallen out". (but they didn't specify why) :ohno

Valenzuela has potential. Good jab, fast hands. But his movements are looking a little bit clumsy sometimes.

Yep. Right now obviously I'd have a hard time seeing him beat Arellano, but obviously that's unfair with the latter having an eight bout headstart on him. For a debuting fighter, he's...okay. I've definitely seen messier.

Marcos Arturo Domínguez Servin and Salvador Tapia - who before today weren't even 100% sure they would make the broadcast - have been promoted into the main event slot in their welterweight 10-rounder.

First is the co-main, starting momentarily.

    Martinez - Hernandez

    1: 10:9

Martinez sounds like Maria Sharapova, when he is punching.

If the name Lester Martínez sounds familiar - well, he was a standout amateur, but unless you follow the Guatemalan domestic (or the broader Central American) scene very closely, the reason you've probably heard of him is that he made his pro debut last year versus ex-champ Ricardo Mayorga in a very ill-advised comeback from retirement...and Martínez stopped him.
