Close fight but i think Joe gets it, mostly by outhustling Hopkins and because B Hop it appeared already had it planned to hit the mat a couple times from phony low blows. Calzaghe isnt a big puncher and for Hopkins to go down from suspect shots under the navel is laughable.... Anyway.....I feel another three rounds would clearly decide that fight. Twelve rounds is too damn quick. Not enough time. Fifteen rounds would seperate the men from the boys.. fights like this and Maywether-De La Hoya might not be so contraversial. Bring back 15 rounders!!!!!
2000 Hopkins vs Calzaghe 15 rounds is what I want to see. :yep Not more of that hugfest last night with Joe trying to bone him after hitting him below the belt.
Naa 12 rounds is long enough! and we should be thankfull that some fights are 12 round i couldnt watch another 3 rounds of klitschkos last fight against Sultan Ibragimov, n calzaghe won the fight anyway , and even if it is contrversial we wouldnt have nothing on here to talk about if it was any other way!
You're just too young to remember a world without 15 rounders..... what you would have to talk about here is maybe one guy overtaking the other the next three rounds, or a guy on the verge of winning suddelnly folding from a viscious onslaught.... there would be plenty to talk about intead of a bunch of idiots disagreeing that their favorite fighter won or lost.
yea I dont think any of those "low blows" really hurt him. Disgraceful for a guy who is supposed to be an all time great. I could never picture a Sugar Ray Robinson crawling around on the ground like a sissy.
