In the end, PacMan is a legitimate favorite at the betting offices, but it's a hard fight to pick. So the only thing Hopkins' comment tells me is that he's not involved in Ricky's preparations, because if he was, he'd say Hatton by stoppage. He's an excellent analyst, but also an emotional guy always picking his friends. But here, I don't see him giving all his support to Ricky.

 

atleast hops is not being bias. he know clearly who is the favorite in this fight.

I think Hopkins dislikes the UK. He made that evident in the run up to the Calzaghe fight. Some will say he was just promoting the fight, but I think he speaks his mind.

So he will always back the fighter who isn't British.
