He's going to be a regular on the series. Should be interesting to hear what he has to say! Hopefully his commentating style aint like his fight style! Reported on Fight News.
You are correct, sir, and I can't wait to see this. He should def. be a very good analyst and I hope he does well for himself on there. Have you guys seen his new monthly thing in THE RING Magazine? He every month demonstates and explains the right and wrong way to do certain things, different from month to month and it is absolutely fantastic. He uses a fighter named Danny Lee to demonstrate all the different techniques he teaches from month to month. Highly recommended. Very interested to see that too.
That is scary. This is the same guy who said that he was forcing Howard Eastman to come to the United States and fight.... away from his "homeland of England".... saying "he has to come over to my country, and speak our language".
This is Phase V of "Operation: Monopoly" for Golden Boy Promotions. I. Hoard the overwhelming majority of HBO dates by playing Ross Greenburg like a fiddle. II. Partnership with USA Boxing to get first exposure to American amateurs before other promoters do. III. Partnership with AEG to add a stable of stadium sites to their stable of fighters. IV. Bought Ring Magazine to influence the only credible rankings that were non-alphabet based. V. Send B-Hop to FNF, which means we'll probably see more GBP fighters on ESPN2 since Solo Boxeo is gone and the program to replace it will be Top Rank's baby on Versus. This has to be bad for the sport, especially after seeing the quality of the cards that GBP has been putting out.
I would guess ...NO. He would still have plenty of time for his career and the article said he'd be doing it from time to time, seeming to allow for absence if he needed priority to train. Yes, I agree he will do brilliant. He has probably the premier boxing brain in the world. Only fall back could possibly be how the public takes to his voice and how he annunciates, etc... I'll be watching, that's for damned sure.:deal Smart move by ESPN.
