Ummmmm, that fat slob working the pads is orthodox, Calzaghe is a Southpaw. That will not help him one bit as that is not simulating what will actually happen in the ring. I have heard Manny Steward talk many times about trainers not using the pads correctly when preparing for a Southpaw. Yes, I know BHop is 12-0 against Southpaws but he has NEVER fought a fighter or Southpaw like Joe Calzaghe.

To be fair, this is not a vid. in preparation for Calzaghe.

I wanted to show how shadowboxing, pad work and bag work is done: with 100% focus, just like in a fight. Train like you fight, fight like you train. That's how you assimilate good habits.

Best way to become sloppy in a fight is to be sloppy in training.

I was under the thought that it was recent as in your initial post it did not say that. Last video I saw of Calzaghe & Enzo he was using the pads orthodox.

 

Nah, that's in preparation for Winky. DLH says "ready for July 21st" after the "chiseled physique" disastre. Hop will be more "chiseled" (lol) for Calzaghe due to the extra 5 lbs.
