King was part of the establishment who tried their best to black ball him becuase he wasn't considered a marquee fighter that brought in the big money. Bhop really did everything his way......the hard way and forced the powers who control this sport to finally accept the "red headed step child".

This is actually a pretty damn cool story here, Hopkins, after all these years, at 48 years old... is the one to take Kings last champion away from him.

Awesome quote from Hopkins and a pretty cool side story of the fight.

Really cool. It still doesn't undo everything the snake has done to his long list of fighters who got screwed, but it's ironic that is was a boxer who out him out of business.

At the end of the fight King was all like 'we cool' wanting to congratulate Hopkins etc. but Hops basically told him to **** off.

    LOL

    Kings not out of business,

    Don King made boxers rich

Klit gets about 5-10 mil a fight these days, in Kings day HW champs made 30 million dollars and the money had more value then too

King didnt make Mike Tyson buy white tigers and gold toilet sets

King didnt make Holyfield buy a 200mil marble mansion with gardening work of a hundred thousand a month

    some people are just idiots

King ****ed with the wrong Philly as Hopkins took an oath to stay in the game until he puts DKP to the ground. After he destroyed Tito something King never recovered from, the Don told Hopkins:

"I'm from Cleveland Ohio homeboy, so we'll see who's gonna stay in the business for longer"

12 years and 12 rounds later when Hopkins put the final nail in DKP's coffin, Bernard calmly walked up to King and just said:

    "I'm from Philadelphia"

No one said he isn't a fat snake with money. He just doesn't have a fighter left who can carry DKP after his one and only champion was defeated by Hopkins. But it's possible Mayorga gets another fight down the road. Clouds' most likely still under contract and he might have another decent fighter he can push.

Don King is just a persona.

The only thing he sees when looking at another man is money

Lots of guys hate king. He's a fat piece of **** and screwed over lots of fighters. hopkins got him taking out his last champ. Just like when he beat his cash cow, felix trinidad.

Just as one you said, Hopkins launched a crusade against the corrupt boxing industry, and Don King was the biggest figure in the system.

It's at his house. All of it.

In 2010 Mayorga looked to debut it MMA but was still under DKP contract apparently, so King filed an injunction at the last minute. The court tried to hardball the Don and said to show up with the contract and a deposit of $1.000.000 the very afternoon (it's a Saturday mind you, so it's hardly doable), and 3 hours later King arrived with the paper and a million in cash.

If they sad $10.000.000, that would not have been a problem either. There are legends of cash stashed everywhere at the Don King mansion.
