Soooo, it's cool for Hatton but not for Pavlik, though in reality it's EXACTLY the same thing? Sorry pal, but sitting down for pints at the local pub all day, is in fact an alcoholic too.;)

He just needs to get back on the horse. Okay, he took a bad loss, it was a horrible style match up for him and he had to go up 2 weights, it's not the end of the world. But since then, 1 uninspiring mandatory fight, then a bunch of pull outs and cancellations. I like him to win a fight with Paul williams, he should get that one done, then people would be glowing with praise about him again.

I personally see the Ghost Ko ing Williams so lets if that happens ..If he does that he will shoot back to top 10 p4p around here ..I seriously though expect him to win by KO ..Paul has yet to face a true middle weight puncher !

Well thats debateable because surely to be an alcoholic you actually have to be in a position whereby alcohol in some way is negatively impacting your life and you are unable to give it up. Hatton has proved every training camp that he can refrain from alcohol consumption.

The stories (of course nothing has been proven which is the issue) about Pavlik are that he cant control his drinking not that he does drink a lot

You post is seriously flawed Joe. Pavlik was NOT INVITED to the Super Six. Furthermore, the article that had him dissing the tourney was based on hearsay, NOT an actual interview.

In addition, he did not "disappear into a dark hole." He took time off when his wife had a baby. Took time to negotiate a new deal with Top Rank. Fought with Arum over dumping the farce of a Mora fight, and then had the staph infection issues. Anyone who cared to stay informed over the last few months did stay informed. The rest of you just came on ESB, and made **** up.

The sources of rhe alcohol/rehab rumours absolutely WERE NOT convincing. The guy who started the rumours was under threat of multiple law suits two freaking days after his article appeared, and never revealed any of his so called "sources." Ya, that's real convincing.

You're an idiot, Pavlik is a middleweight, the Super Six is for Super middleweights. In Pavlik's only fight in that weight, 170 vs. Hopkins, we all know what happened.

You should be banned for lunacy.

Actually you're way off base. Pavlik has fought at, near, or above the SMW limit 14 times. His record in those fights is 13-1 with 11 KO's, and I am not counting early catchweight fights at 162-64.
