Fine, lets move on. But at no point did I say Hattons career wasnt affected by his drinking binges. It does in the same way food binges hurt Arreola or Toney.

I said he wasnt an alcoholic.

Not that I actually believe that Pavlik is an alcoholic, but:

Alcoholism is a medical disorder defined by a physical addiction to alcohol. It is not the same as enjoying a beer, or enjoying a lot of beer, or even spending all day at the pub drinking beer. It has environmental and genetic components and while drinking all day may be symptomatic of alcoholism, it is in no way the definition.

Case in point: A person who spends all day drinking in a pub, but can quit drinking entirely for an 8 week training camp without suffering from symptoms of physical withdrawal is not an alcoholic, they're just a dude that really likes beer. The contention is Pavlik CANNOT do that and, thus, his training is affected by his alcoholism.

That hypothetical scenario is completely different than Hatton, who never had any issues quitting for training camp.

    You're seriously ****ing dense.

    Apologies for the derail.

I know alot of boxing fans who think PW can't take a MW punch and when Kelly proves that he won't get his props. Not b/c of anything to do with KP but b/c this is too big of a jump for PW. I would not be surprised to see Kelly freeze PW with a big shot and then knock him out cold with the next.

    You know.

People are behaving like they are his family or something defending the Pavlik name. Simple as this 2 of his last 3 fights were against bums. Arthur has been calling him out for the longest. You cant say Arthur was scared now he's moved up to fight the best at super middle

Maybe, its Arum and KP wants to fight tough fights but at the mement KP is suffering.

I apologise but I'm just answering a question that was posed and I'm not going to kiss the ass of a guy who schooled to bums he was supposed to and then was humiliated by BHop.

You forgot to add that Miranda was weight drained in his fight with KP. Even merchant said Miranda's punches didn't have the same sound from ringside they did prior. And Taylor was never that good and had lost to Winky, Ouma, And Spinks prior to being Kayoed by Pav.:D

Man I love this board. Boo where you at?

Some diabolical haters on this board.

At no point have I implied any of that stuff so please dont put words in my mouth. Also I dont see why I'm a hater because I dont think KP is the second coming.

If you read my original post.

I said Miranda was a good win that put KP in the limelight. But surely you can agree that both Miranda was beat by Abraham prior and after. Also would you say Miranda was anything more than a powerful beast of a puncher. He is lacking in the skill department but he is a warrior and KP put him on his ass.

Taylor. Once again Fact. Surely you can agree that the daggers had been out for Taylor before Spinks let alone KP. Because of his lacklustre approach and questionable opponents since the BHop wins.

That all seems like Facts to me. I put in one rumour about drinking which I stated was an allegation and rumour.

no one is asking you to kiss his ass. hell don't like him if that's how you feel and if ya'll want to ramble on about unfounded rumors of alcoholism then be my guest. its when people spout rumors on here they should expect to be called out on it.

so, lets get to it then....

aa: this is really all you need to know: "The undefeated middleweight champion, Abraham (27-0, 22 KOs) is an Armenian native now living and training in Germany. After the fight, he told the SHOWTIME audience that he enjoyed fighting in America and for the enthusiastic crowd at Hard Rock Live. And that he wanted the opportunity to fight Oscar De La Hoya and Kelly Pavlik next." so i guess odlh was ducking aa as well?? no aa wasnt scared but he wasnt hell bent on fighting pav like sauerland would have you think.

lockett: it is well documented that joe called out pav after jt I...(the article was esb front page) lockett is joe's stablemate (or at least was) pav beats lockett and then turns to the crowd and asks if they want to see him fight joe. joe then sees more $$ in a rjj fight and takes it. that's not saying joe ducked anyone...that is just what happened. it was a business decision by joe. but that was the idea behind the lockett fight. who would have won between pav and joe is besides the point.

rubio: a mandatory he ***** slapped into submission

bhop: the best lhw in the world, atg cagy ****. pav bit off more than he can chew, moved up 2 weight classes (with some documented illness/injuries) and got his head handed to him. of course he's humilated now and is a joke whereas marquez is a warrior (which he is and i was pulling for the little guy even tho i knew what was coming)

again, no one is asking you to kiss the guy's ass...but those are the facts. now watch how they get distorted.

My point is that we can do this to almost all active fighters. Look at their resume and pick it apart. The personal stuff I don't care to comment on. I'm a Floyd fan so you know I don't care about what a fighter does outside the ring:lol:.

Pavik has a good fanbase here, about 6-7 solid posters. One guy I think is Mike Pavlik:lol: but I'll leave that one alone for now.

I think Pavlik is going about this the wrong way though. He should leave the WW's alone imo and start to build his legacy at 168. I'd take Pavlik over Bute after 2 fights at 168 and he can beat the WBO title holder.
