Adamek is going to have problems to comeback down and lose that amount of weight without getting into a Roy Jones Jr situation after John Ruiz and b4 Antonio Tarver. However, Tomasz is a natural strong and big light-heavy so that would be a good fight. however and even if he carries all that punch power, he's not slick or technically sound to beat Hopkins at the end of 12 rounds of boxing, I am sorry for his fans.
Hopkins is about as bad a style matchup for Adamek as one could fathom. I love Adamek, but Hopkins gives him a serious boxing lesson over 12 rounds.
That doesn't mean anything. That was the best version of Dawson. He was much younger than Hopkins, a lot faster than Hopkins, bigger and had better stamina. Lets not let Adamek's last fight fool us, he fought at a high level for years and to be honest, he posses a difficult fight for Hopkins. He can box, he can be effective at pressuring (Banks, Cunningham) and his power was much better at the lower weight. I wouldn't be at all shocked if he out worked B-hop.
Adamek now? He would be a dead man walking at 175. Hopkins by TKO. I was referring to the pre-layoff version. The 30-0 LHW who KOed Ulrich in Germany. He had a great gas tank and was not drained at 175.
you obviously didn't read the thread i meant back when this fight was negotiated but fell thru not now
