B hop vs Dawson , Who you got??

Dawson has enough pop that opponents can't just walk through his punches. He hurt Adamek pretty bad, and Adamek has an iron chin. He can knock down Hopkins if he lands a good shot.

 

Dawson has all the tools to not only beat Hopkins but beat him handily. Hopkins should get a lot of credit for even taking this fight and while I hope he can somehow prove me wrong and pull of another sensational victory I doubt Hopkins can overcome all of Dawson's physical advantages.

Hopkins may have been able to outwork and out box Pascal but those tactics won't work against Dawson, he's going to have to really raise his game and turn back the clock once more to beat him. Hopkins isn't getting any younger and he looked slower than ever against Pascal which doesn't bode well against such a quick fighter like Dawson.

 

Dawson doesn't throw in patterns, it may look like it, but he doesn't. It's because of Dawson's handspeed he's able to throw 4-5 punchers without being countered.

 

Also it's important to remember Dawson is from a new breed of mentally weak fighters like Andre Dirrel, Deyvon Alexander. He could quit, it wouldn't surprise me.
