B-Hop didn't have the physical strength or firepower to make Qawi respect him at LT.Heavy . Nor did he have the foot speed to outmaneuver him at that weight. I see a bad beat down. A meat grinding. A mauling, were the ref will save a badly battered Hopkins within 10rds. If he's not counted out on his back.

Hopkins never hears the ref count him out.

Dwight is bigger, but Hopkins has never lost when it comes to physicality. I just see Hopkins taking momentum over the 2nd half of the fight as Qawi is tired and frustrated. B-Hop starts pot shotting him with lead right hands

Hopkins rarely lost due to physicality because he was really a light heavyweight all along, who boiled down to middleweight. He was almost always the bigger man. And, with the exception of Tarver, he generally lost when he fought quality fighters who were not at a significant size disadvantage (Jones, Taylor, Dawson, Kovalev, Smith).

Braxton would be by far the most physical man Bernard had ever shared a ring with. And, it would show.

Qawi fought a 15rd war with one of the greatest fighters in history in Holyfield at Holyfields prime weight. Do you really believe Hopkins would tire him out.

I honestly think Qawi dominates Hopkins.

Qawi would beat him, and not just because he was a tank physically. It would be the combination of Qawi being a tank and also being a defensively sound counter puncher on top of it. He was good at making people miss and throwing in combinations. I see Qawi pressuring Hopkins and making him very uncomfortable by slipping into his space and let his hands go. Hopkins would have a hard time getting Qawi's respect with his punches, which ultimately would be the deciding factor of who wins the fight because without Qawi respecting the power, he going to get in and rip his combinations.

The fight would probably look a little weird because usually it's the tall, awkward, and quick guys that give Hopkins trouble...not the short barrel chested people looking to apply pressure.

Yes he would have. Prime Qawi hammers Hopkins. People forget Hopkins had 0 kos at 170. He has NOTHING to get the granite chain's Qawi's respect. What you wrote about Hopkin's looking to jump out of the ring has a lot of truth to it.

I did not know that. Even though he is one of my all time favs, I like him even more now.

Yeah, he had real problems with alcohol. Pretty sure he works in a rehabilitation / youth center for troubled teens.
