I actually like LaMotta in this fight. Dude fought in a tougher era and many felt he actually should've gotten the nod in more than one fight against Sugar Ray.
Jake fought in a much tougher era and was flattening guys in, above, and below his weight class. Jake fought whoever, wherever, whenever, and I dont think Hopkins or any Middleweight of the 1990's and 2000's could take him. He wasnt called the bronx bull for nothing. He would just keep coming at you, he never quit, not even verses the greatest pound for pound fighter in history during his prime.
I disagree, these two fighters intangibles blend together to create a total snoozefest ... Lamotta MD15
The would be no chance of Hopkins losing for ****s sake. LaMotta was ****. Barely even had a right hand. Just a limp-wristed jab. Hopkins wins every time. The decision's wideness would depend on how lazy Hopkins was feeling.
Jake LaMotta was strong as an ox , but didn't have good power , he stopped guys by wearing them down with relentless pressure. But he just wasn't good enough to beat Hopkins who is a master of ringcraft and has good power along with his skill. Hopkins would win much more rounds than Jake , but its impossible to stop him.
