Why not call out Chavez Jr who is closer to Bernard's size, maybe even bigger? Plus, Jr is a big draw. It'd be a nice money fight for Bernard and Jr can have a chance to boost his confidence if he beats an ATG.

In other words, he knows he hasn't a chance of beating him.

Even at 47 Bernard beats Jr. decisively. Don't get me wrong though I'd love to see the fight, as it would be a perfect way for Hopkins to walk off into the sunset as one of the greatest of all time:deal

Like a great fighter, whereas Martinez would look like a good, but outmatched and outclassed one.

I'd rather see Hopkins go out with a Shumenov, Cleverly, or Cloud fight to retire with a title belt at age 48. Martinez shouldn't be fighting at LHW, nor will he. He'd be really undersized and would wind up getting pasted with right hands and bullied around the ring.

Bernard's only one fight removed from being the WBC and Ring Magazine legitimate light heavyweight champion of the world. He's not one of the pound for pound elites anymore, but he's unquestionably world class still - although he's boring as anything against certain styles as his offensive capabilities and stamina have gone to ****.

Watch Bhops last 2 fights an then tell me he deserves another payday. He had to fake an injury in the first fight an wouldnt even throw punches in the second fight. Overrated career anyway on the whole

 what a shocker, hopkins willing to fight a guy who continues to say he has topped out at middleweight lol. Ya I'm sure hopkins would love to get serg up to 170 and try to bully him lol. And I can hear all the criticism already about how sergio just beat a 50 year old coming off a loss

Passing on this fight is a no brainer

would love to see bhop go up to cruiser, so many winable fights, ie lineal and ibf champ (lshould have lost) easy pickings, no weight draining. another divisional title, the main guy i want bhop to beat up the old fashon cheating dirty fighting way would be canelo i would pay 100$ ppv to see bhop crush the boy.
