We all remember how B-Hop went down a couple of times against Calzaghe due to alleged low blows.

If you thought he was genuinely hurt or even hit below the belt in the Calzaghe fight, has your opinion changed after watching his antics against Roy Jones?

I always knew he was pulling a stunt against Calzaghe, so seeing furhter acting against Jones just confirms it for me.

    Thoughts????

I never thought for one second that Bernard was really hurt by any of those punches.

He was never hurt. He's just old and now has stamina problems.

As I recall, what he was doing against Calzaghe was more buying time when he was genuinely hit low. What he did against Jones was indefensible.

The time he got knocked out of the ring (opponents name escapes me) and got the fight stopped, looked like he was milking that too. He does like to act, but still a legend despite it.

The Jones low blow was borderline, It was not even all that low in my opinion, Hopkins looked worse falling down there than Oscar did.... Not near as low as the one Jones was hit with that started the dirty antics.

It would have been hilarious if the ref started counting him out.... I bet he would have jumped right up.

cutting corners/trickery is hopkins' style. he's a legend because he does those things better than anyone else, not because he does any of the other things better than everyone else.

The first occasion was a body punch from Calzaghe that Hopkins blocked, deflecting it downwards where it brushed his shorts. There was one later where Hopkins threw himself down even though punch landed at all, then got up when Cortez told him to stop being silly, although rightfully it should have been counted as a knockdown.

Hopkins should have tried his rabbit punching routine against Calzaghe. Joe landed about 84 shots to the back of the head in that fight.

he's a spoiler, he will do whatever necessary to negate his opponents strengths or rhythm.

Its sneaky, and its bending the rules.
