His mind is all focused on hitting the target clean and move on. He won't commit himself with a lot of weight in a single punch cause he wants his arms to be loose and not tight enough but he doesn't pity pat you. Hop is so fit that he can block your punch and with the same arm punch back hard in hook mode such as he blocked Tito's left and rocked him with the same right arm in close. I do believe he has power cause he was not only stealing punching room from Kelly Pavlik or Antonio Tarver, he was clearly hurting them and making them back a step, and that was at LHWT. We can't say much about the effects on Pascal cause he has a sturdy chin and anytime he got hit clean and right on the spot, he would move elsewhere and pause... I still think Bernard can make a guy fold in pain with a body shot like against Hoya or rock a guy's senses like against Tito.
Bernard mid 90's had a good right hand. I'd agree with most and say he has respectable power. he's not a dynamic puncher but he can hurt you enough that you won't run in.
