if he says hes going to be coming in at around 205 then does it really matter? its most likely he'll weigh in at about 194 or so and then get up to above 200 before the fight.blame the ibo theyre the ones who let danny dictate this stuff, i dont see it as a big issue if bj is weighing in 194+ but thats just me, in any case ill be watching the fight and hoping for a war, any details on undercard fights aswell? heard a rumour about cool willie?
Whats it got to do with the IBO mate? CW is the division and if something is in a fight contract that says a max weight within CW then its fine and got nothing to do with the IBO IMO Now if one of them was weighing under or over the CW limit then thats something else
cruiserweight Anthony McCracken vs Shane Cameron 10 super featherweight Matt Garlett vs Quinton Donohue 6 lightweight Clint Hosking vs Brent Elliott 6 welterweight Steven Wills vs Casey Gilmour 6 lightweight William Kickett vs Sedat Tasci 6 Its not 200LB Buster.
yeah good point ash. i just dont see why people are making such a big deal if as you also mentioned bj comes in at say 195 or so. hes still going to be a lot heavier than danny and if he says he will come into the fight over 200 pounds then it shouldnt be a problem, just my opinion but i think people are making a mountain out of a molehill with this, he seems really focused and confident ahead of this so hopefully should be a ripper of a fight
i dont have a huge problem with 195...its better than the usual 184 bs he puts in contracts. i do have a problem with the "cruiserweight" champ not wanting to fight at the limit of the paper title he supposedly holds. for somebody who is not a genuine cruiser and is comfortable at light heavy, making a contender come in under the limit, even if only 5lbs, is a distinct difference when you are coming up in weight and struggling to do so. if he wants to be a cruiser champ then 200 is what it should be... no need for catchweights
i don't know what bj weighs atm, but i think he looks like he is struggling bigtime with his weight. he may be ripped, but he just looks partly sick, or as though he hasn't eaten properly for some time. u just need to look at his body proportion to his head. although he may just also have an unusually large head for his body normally. it may not be affecting him too much though, he is the only one who would know. i just wonder how much more weight he needs to shed that's all.
Greenie's best tactics would be to disceetly position a full length mirror at ringside. Then crack BJ with a couple of sweet shots when the Yank starts eyeing himself off early in the fight. :bbb
Seriously 195 is a joke. Its a ****ing Cruiserweight title fight so shouldnt that mean its at the Cruiserweight limit. :verysad
exactly.... to anyone who knows boxing, Green is becoming more and more a laughing stock with every fight
